Their prices are out of this world high!! My cat was in for less than 24 hours and my bill for her having mastitis was 700.00! They overcharge for everything they do and their service isn't anything special!

We came here looking for back specialist care and I was turned off after the first visit. We waited almost 2 hours past our appointment time to see the vet. They herd you in and out like cattle. The visits last 5 minutes and were concluded with, "give him these meds and come back in 2 weeks". After 6 weeks of this, we were making no progression. We were also given dangerous instructions concerning a medication that resulted in an overnight ER visit. When the vet was questioned on this, the response was, "I wanted to see what would happen". When we informed this vet we were going for a second opinion, we were told not to come back and that our dog actually needs surgery. So I can only assume we weren't told this earlier because they had not gotten enough money out of us with pointless checkup visits. I am sure this place is great for your run of the mill needs, but there is a lack of professionalism and it is run much more like a business and the well being of the pet is second priority. The second opinion we received was to get our dog off the drugs and to start a rehab routine. After only a few weeks he's made drastic improvements and is looking to make a full recovery, no surgery required.

COLONIAL PARK ANIMAL CLINIC MURDERED MY CAT. In their defense, he was old (15 years). He started breathing hard, so I took him in. The vet said he had an enlarged heart, and gave 3 pills. My boy started drooling and stopped eating. The vet said 'let's take blood-work'. The vet said 'His blood-work looks perfect. Let's stop the meds and see if his appetite returns. Come back in 2 weeks'. I know his blood-work is not perfect, he has been expressing symptoms of Diabetes...What do I know? The Doc is the expert. On the morning before my cat's re-appointment, I come home and find him dead...bloodwork perfect, heart messed up but still OK...murder by ineptitude is still murder............but it's just an animal, right? What's the big deal?.........../hatred

I took my new kitten to Colonial Park Animal Clinic a week ago, I was very satisfied with the way I was treated and how they showed a deep concern for my kitten. They are very knowledgeable and the vets are down to earth and friendly. The front desk, not so much. Very stand-offish and not friendly at all. I will continue to take my 3 cats there, regardless of the coldness at the front desk. Since then I had to take my female cat there and what a change, the front desk was very friendly and kind. The vet was very caring. This place rocks!

I was very disappointed with my experience this past Saturday and Colonial Park Animal Clinic. My cat had been throwing up on and off for about a week. Out of concern, I came in for a last minute appointment. Understandably, the fee was higher, although the Google reviews seemed worth the extra charge. I was wrong. They did see my pet quite quickly, which was nice. However, at no point during the visit did they actually spell me or my cat's name correctly. I must have corrected the staff at least five times, yet both names are incorrect on both my bill and my cat's prescriptions. I use this example to illustrate their lack of attentiveness to both the needs of my pet and me. However, I definitely hold more grevious concerns about the visit. Out of concern for my cat, I asked that I be permitted to stay with her for both her x-Ray and the following procedure. The vet said no, which normally I would have been able to cope with. However, her reasoning for me not being able to be with my cat was that the procedure (an enema) would not be effective if I were in the room, and this was a problem because the vet wanted me to go home sooner. She literally used the words "I want you to leave" in response to my request. My cat had to be alone (which I know she hates) because the doctor believed she could get rid of me faster. The cherry on top was when the vet left the room and immediately starting laughing about me to her vet techs regarding my request to stay with my cat. You'd think at some point this staff would realize their walls are paper thin, but that would require some kind of attentiveness to patients. Meanwhile, "Man in a Box" is playing in the background, just in case going here wasn't horrific enough. Then, I overhear some techs discussing going hunting on their next vacation from the office. It struck me as a bit ironic that someone who works with wounded animals all week likes to vacation by killing animals. Maybe that's just me. I sure hope this freak wasn't the guy giving an enema to my cat. The most lovely part of all is that, even if the staff at Colonial Park Animal Clinic reads my review, they probably won't even know who wrote it. You'd have to know your patients' names to be able to do that.
