Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital is a full service small animal veterinary clinic serving Dubuque, Iowa and the surrounding tri-state area. We offer preventative veterinary care, along with soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, an in-house laboratory, full dental care (including dental radiographs), and advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound and digital radiography.

Have a new puppy or kitten? Ask about our specially priced puppy and kitten packages that include everything they need to keep them healthy. We also have wellness plans for your adult pets that we can tailor to your pet's unique lifestyle and health needs!

Last year I accompanied my daughter to an appointment at Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital, during a difficult visit in which she had  to euthanize her beloved dog, Wrigley, who she had for many years.  I was so impressed with the kindness and caring of the professionals and staff there that when I got my own puppy, a year later I decided to take him to this same animal hospital.  Our puppy, Liam, has now been a patient there for over a year. The Doctors and the entire staff are professional, kind, prompt, thorough and always caring.  The facility is the best, always clean, and well organized.   I am grateful to all of their professionals and staff for their ongoing care and concern whenever we have a question or need them.  They are the BEST.  I am happy to highly recommend them to everyone.

I am a long time customer of Colonial Terrace and they have served multiple dogs, cats, and a pet duck.  Caring is probably the most descriptive word I could use to describe the doctors and staff at the clinic. In addition, they are highly skilled and provide services in a very professional manner.  I would recommend these folks to any pet owner without reservation!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Each staff member is very knowledgeable, outgoing, friendly and helpful. The vets know my fur family mean the world to me and always take the time to answer my many questions. I am thankful to have such top notch care for my canine kids 💓

I’m new to Dubuque needing a good vet clinic for my big lab. Colonial Terrace has very kind and friendly staff. The veterinarians are outstanding, knowledge, professional and true animal lovers. Their prices are reasonable and the clinic neat and clean. I highly recommend them!

We have been taking our pets to Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital for the last 10 years and couldn't be happier. The staff is always wonderful to work with from the friendly front staff, vet techs and the physicians. We've had the opportunity to work with most of the staff and have never experienced anything other than a positive outcome. Staff always take time to answer questions and our dogs actually love going to their appointments! The new online scheduling is very convenient and easy to use. This is very helpful when you're working full-time during the day and need to schedule, it's very easy to navigate and you receive confirmation of the appointment and reminders. We've been to other animal hospitals in town, but this is by far the best facility and staff for our dog.
