Story

Colonie Center, a 1.3 million square-foot enclosed, regional shopping center with over 100 specialty stores, is at the heart of New York's Capital Region. The center is anchored by Boscov's, Macy's, and Sears. The first L.L. Bean retail store in New York State proudly calls Colonie Center "home". On the second level, Colonie Center features the popular Christmas Tree Shops store and the Capital Regions only Nordstrom Rack. A 13 screen Regal Cinemas, offering moviegoers RPX® experience, can be found on the third floor. Along with a wide array of popular retailers including Barnes and Noble, The Gap/Gap Kids/Baby Gap, Express, Crazy 8, Kay Jewelers, Lane Bryant, American Eagle, The Body Shop and New York & Company; the center is home to many stores that are unique to the market, including Charming Charlie, Bose, Whole Foods Market and a full in-line Sephora. The center boasts the first Cheesecake Factory Restaurant in upstate New York and the only P.F. Chang's China Bistro in the Capital Region. In 2016, Colonie Center welcomed Francesca’s, J.Crew Mercantile, ULTA Beauty, Pink and White Barn Candle to the center along with newly redesigned Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works stores. 2017 will see a brand new H&M coming to the center.Colonie Center recently completed a multi-million dollar center-wide renovation. New lower level restrooms along with a state-of-the-art family lounge facility provide necessary amenities for shoppers with young children by offering nursing rooms, changing stations and a television lounge. Colonie Center’s center court, food court and soft seating areas also received modern updates including new, comfortable seating, an updated center court fountain and iPad stations for shopper use. The new designs help to offer patrons an unparalleled shopping destination in the region. Colonie Center has been voted the Capital Regions ‘Best Of’ Shopping Center for nine years in a row based on a Times Union readers’ poll.
