Story

This is the official page for Colorado State University.

Our State is Colorado, but Rams are built on a global scale. We unite in Fort Collins, where our diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences strengthen our community. True to our land-grant beginnings, we’re focused on practical solutions for today and tomorrow.

CSU is one of our nation's leading research universities with world-class research in infectious disease, atmospheric science, clean energy technologies, and environmental science. It was founded in 1870 as the Colorado Agricultural College, six years before the Colorado Territory became a state.

To date, more than 230,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees have been conferred at Colorado State, including more than 6,000 in 2011-2012. Our 184,586 living alumni are active in 27 geographic alumni groups representing 17 states (4 in Colorado and 23 out of state) and 16 common interest groups.

Colorado State University is the "university of choice" for Colorado residents – 30% of all of Colorado's science, math, engineering and technology majors pursue degrees at CSU. In addition to its excellent programs in those areas, CSU offers among the very best professional programs in the United States in veterinary medicine, occupational therapy, journalism, agriculture and construction management.

CSU is located in Fort Collins, CO, which is a midsize city of approximately 141,000. Money Magazine ranked Fort Collins as the sixth "Best Place to Live" in America in 2010, the second "Best Place to Live" in 2008, and as the "Best Place to Live" in America in 2006.

Mission

Inspired by its land-grant heritage, Colorado State University is committed to excellence, setting the standard for public research universities in teaching, research, service and extension for the benefit of the citizens of Colorado, the United States, and the world.

I have studied in here as an international student for one year, but now I transfer to another college. The main reason is the reputation of the CSU college of business. The employment rate of international students after they graduation is so low, and I rarely find one get even an internship. Although there are lots of nice people live here, you get almost nothing to do in this dull town besides hiking or playing with your dogs.

You pay over ten thousand dollars for housing and dining where you are constantly told what you can and cannot do, what you can and cannot hang on your wall, what you can and cannot say; oh and it's a requirement that you make the school rich by using their crappy dorms. You go to lectures that you paid thousands of dollars for with the money that you don't even have and spend month learning something that you can learn on youtube in a single day. Majority of instructors are part time adjuncts making less than 30,000$ a year and guess how much the president makes... 700,000$ a year. All your money goes for fancy buildings, stadiums, teams, that you don't even care about and just walk past by. I highly suggest you get your basic ed credits for free at a community college and transfer to universities only for your major for as few semesters as possible, because general ed classes across all colleges are pretty much same. Unless your'e one of those rich kids for who sweet mommy and daddy paying for everything. Oh and the sjw scene here is very big, god forbid if you express your opinion and if they don't like it your automatically a racist, masagonist, privileged, ignorant, pig who rapes everyone. All of this for a piece of paper. If you're a dedicated student you can learn in a single year more than what people learn here over 5-6 years. But you won't have that piece of paper that says diploma that is going to dust somewhere in your closet.

Took old fashion correspondence classes from this school. At the pre and post graduate as well as certificate level. Glad I had the experience. Loved the conferences and seminars that I was able to attend, that were held on this campus.
