Comet Cafe in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, proved to be a delightful spot for a lunch outing. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the cool ambiance. Despite being a popular spot, I had no trouble finding a seat, which was a plus. The cleanliness of the place added to the overall positive experience.  The server's friendliness and attentiveness stood out during my visit, enhancing the dining experience. Their warm demeanor added a personal touch to the meal, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer.  Opting for the club sandwich was a wise choice. It was delicious, with fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations that satisfied my taste buds. Each bite was a perfect balance of textures and tastes, leaving me thoroughly impressed with the culinary offerings of Comet Cafe.  Convenience played a role in my experience as well. Finding street parking nearby made the visit hassle-free, adding to the appeal of returning regularly, especially if I lived nearby. Comet Cafe would undoubtedly become a regular dining spot for me, given its combination of great food, friendly service, and convenience.  Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Comet Cafe to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Milwaukee. Whether it's for lunch, dinner, or even just a casual hangout, Comet Cafe has everything you need for a memorable meal.

Another wonderful choice! Went to Comet Cafe on a Thursday afternoon, and it was such a vibe. This is a nice neighborhood restaurant which had a lot of character. The service was cool, and the food was good. The music is very entertaining and has a very good flow. We had the comet club and a Reuben sandwich with fries. Great choice all the way around!!!

Enjoyed a great brunch today despite the restaurant being busy on a holiday weekend.  Thank you for staying open! Staff were so attentive, made us feel welcome and appreciated for coming in.  Food hot, fresh and delicious all around.  Don’t forget to order hash browns!!!!  Vegetarian options: Lots of options, vegan and vegetarian.  Menu  is flexible.

If you've never been here, WHAT are you waiting for?!? If you like meat or plants, this is your place! Like pie? This is really your place! All of the food was great and the pie did not disappoint, EXCEPT for the fact that if you are going to have pie, order it right away! I missed out on a couple choices. Now I know. Order pie first, then get the food. They package it up very nicely for you. Eat it there or take it with you. The Lake is close - a beautiful view to see while eating your pie. If you make it that far before you open the bag! The service was great and the workers were also! If you are in the area - or not - stop in and enjoy!

Honestly one of greatest breakfasts I’ve had in years. The fact that I had a wicked hangover made it even more special. Pork belly and grits plus a side of hash browns and two extra eggs. I’m pretty sure if it was put in a blender and introduced intravenously it would have had the same glorious effect.Food: 5/5

Comet Cafe has been around for a long time, yet it was only recently that I went in for a taste. As is typical for the east side, parking can be a bit of a challenge. Another challenge is getting a table over the lunch hour, since this place is so popular and they don't reservations. Still, it's worth the wait considering the iconic status of this place. For starters I had the Jalepeno Bloodie. Not really spicy, but very tasty. They even gave me a beer chaser! Both my guest and I ordered the Commuter Sandwich, and here's where it got interesting. She ordered hers "plain" but I ordered mine with sausage. She enjoyed her sandwich and hashbrows without issue, however I felt both my hashbrowns and my sandwich were a bit greasy. I only had about half of my sandwich and a few bites of hashbrowns because they weren't sitting right with me. This doesn't mean I won't go back again though. The staff was friendly and helpful and the vibe was nice and chill.

Bobby and Bailey were amazing- as well as everyone else who helps out. Huge vegan menu. My new go to when in town!!! Mocktail menu is awesome and gotta get the sport tea!! Food: 5/5

I had the Big Boss Hamburger with french fries, and I thought it was really good.  The service was good, and it was quick.  I sat at the counter,  and I am a huge lunch counter fan - so I was already in a good mood once I saw they had counter service. The Big Boss is like a Big Mac or a Big Boy - I was happy with the hamburger since I will admit I do like McDonald's Big Macs.  The bar on the other side of the restaurant opposite wall of the counter service is beautiful.

I have to admit I was disappointed with my meal. I had the Stendler, which was just stuffed with hashbrowns very small and very few bits of some meat that I could not get a flavor of, and very little egg. Cheese was non-existent in this wrap as well. I must say the artistry of the Sriracha was nice.Food: 2/5

There are a lot of great brunch options. I dined here with a group. The breakfast burritos are tasty, I would add more salsa. The biscuits and gravy are dynamite.  Make sure to get some pie.  I will not order the egg cheese and bacon croissant again. It comes out as a big bag of grease. Not tasty. When I mentioned this to the server, she did not seem to care. The rest of the service was great. The mimosa was underwhelming.  Clean bathrooms. Clean restaurant.  Bicycle parking.  Vegetarian options: Solid vegetarian options.
