I just called to make a reservation for March 2018 at this hotel, Comfort Inn Carmel-by-the-Sea. Young woman said that they do not have any accommodations for disabled. They have at least a few steps (four steps) to get to the office or the rooms. I was also told that the rooms have step-in bathtubs and no accommodations for disabled. I am disappointed. The grounds look lovely.

Baby toilet. Huge stain on the carpet.
 Small rooms.
Great service.  Great location. No air in rooms is no problem. Lovely place. Front desk lady is so so wonderful. Very charming.

This is a very pretty motel and the room was mostly clean (we found a hair definitely not our own on the sheets otherwise it was clean). But there's no air conditioning and the walls are super thin. You can hear your neighbors talking and you get some traffic noise from the windows. There are fans but our started rattling in the middle of the night meaning the only option was quiet or cool. I would find another place to stay if I came back.

Great location...just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here.  The room was clean and decorated very nicely... and the breakfast was good! We will definitely stay here again!

While the hotel is older the Manager, Gita, and her team make up the age of the facility thru great service. They show they care from free breakfast to room cleaning. The location is great. Park your car there and walk a block down Ocean Ave to charming Carmel. Plenty of restaurants, shops and art stores.
