After a long day of travel we were placed in a ground level unit. The noise and pounding from foot steps above was very annoying and caused us to be awakened several times. Another issue was the apparently broken alarm clock in the unit -- which we didn't know was broken or preset to go off at 12:00 AM with a very loud static sound. Perhaps we should have checked the setting but never expected it to be so loud and disturbing in sounding like a freight train going through the room. We intend to share our experience on social media and review sites. The heating/cooing system was irregular although given the other issues we did not report it. The reason 'Billing' is checked is that we would have expected some compensation for our troubles but were offered none and of course did not want to ask if it wasn't suggested by the hotel staff. Overall we had a very uncomfortable experience and resolved to never stay at a Comfort Inn again -- Booda Book. Bodda Bust!
The following night we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and were extremely happy with the property and accommodations. We were hoping Comfort Inn would be as nice but to our disappointment it was not even close in terms of remodeling, furnishings, TV stations, bathroom tiling, quietness of rooms, etc.

We chose this hotel this hotel because it was dog friendly. We were pleasantly surprise with the room. The layout was well thought out with lots of space. The AC works well. I like the small reading light at the beadstand. It had the standard hotel breakfast, but it has coffee very close, within walking distance.

Beds were very comfortable and the room was huge! But, for some reason the air conditioning was off when we showed up so it was almost 90 degrees in the room. Seems pretty strange to not have the AC going when daily temperatures are over 100 degrees! Also, the night clerk was unprofessional. Once we were checked in she took a smoke break and was smoking about 5 feet from our car with 3 sleeping kids in it . After this she got back behind the desk, put her feet up and started playing on her phone. When we asked for linens for the fold out couch we got a pile handed to us. Breakfast was tasty.

Large, comfortable room. Internet access is a bit sketchy, TV programming not much better. Red Bluff is not high society, so this property is probably as good as it gets. One of the most spacious rooms I"ve had in a chain hotel. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, as a single woman, I'm not completely comfortable about security.

We arrived about 8:30 pm, very tired, with no reservations. We asked if a room was available & got one that exceeded our expectations. The reservation clerk was friendly efficient and fast. When we opened the door to our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find what appeared to be  a suite with a large lounging area,  refrigerator, microwave and desk area and a king sized bed. It was very clean, well maintained & modern We were very comfortable. We will seek out Comfort Inn on our future travels.
