I have never banked at this bank in my life but they just took 177 dollars from my bank. Will get them for fraud first thing in morning.
This company is absolute garbage toward their employees and nobody should give them business. They refused to pay my fiance for her maternity leave because of the timing on the insurance's open enrollment, which was only off by a couple days, and then proceeded to CHARGE HER out of her paychecks because she had health insurance still while she was absent from work. I have only bad things to say about this company, and am writing this review in the most polite way I possibly can. I WANT to write much, much worse things about them, but I'm trying to remain dignified and somewhat professional about this review. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! One of the companies owned by them, Checksmart, is the main focus of this review. I, myself worked for Checksmart, and was actually fired FOR DOING MY JOB PROPERLY, which a high paying customer didn't like. It cost me my job. Community Choice Financial is SOLELY out to make profit and will harm anybody in their way, they do NOT deserve anybody's business. I'd like to leave NO stars, but this review process won't allow me to, thus I'm leaving a single star.
This company at the Dublin, OH office performed a hard inquiry on my credit without my consent or knowledge. I called to ensure no credit was being taken out in my name but they refused any knowledge of the inquiry. Never interacted with the company other than this. A lot of scam warnings here. Stay far away.
This place called me about a loan and told me I need to buy gift cards at Walmart $155 or Walgreens. James White if that’s his name told me they work directly with the retailer stores. Game recognize game there is no loan place that requires you to purchase gift cards upfront. I told him James gift card can’t be tracked he tells me yes. This is definitely a scam don’t waste your time on this place.
I received an alert from Experian of a collection account for a defaulted payday loan. I called Community Choice Financial, and they stated they have no information they could give me of an account number, address, the type of account they claimed money was deposited into I do not have an account with that establishment they claimed. Furthermore, I was told by the representative the loans that were taken out with my identity were already paid in full, but she could not provide information as to why the default was on my credit report. There is a recording of the representative stating all of the "claimed account" was paid. I will use this in court as well. I have contacted the BBB & Trade Commission, authorities, etc. I was told the information was forwarded to the fraud department for a resolution as of now I have not heard anything back. After researching this company I see many people this month alone that are going through the same identify theft verbatim with this company.
They are scammers themselves or if this actually is a bank they allow if not encourage fraudulent loans to be taken out here. Now I am dealing with them requesting all kinds of info and for me to jump through hoops or be liable for the fraudulent loan they emailed me to say was approved and payment was due. I'm still receiving calls from this bank and others telling me I'm liable for supposed loans yet when I check my credit report they are not showing up, only the credit checks they did weeks ago. My credit has a fraud alert and lock on the account for almost a month now. Pretty shady practices in my opinion.

Information about my cash advance was not explained to me as a line of credit loan and now they want me to pay them $20 a month for a yr to keep my line of credit opened or to pay $160 to close it early, all after the young lady at the counter said my account was closed after I paid back the amount I borrowed. Neither crestline financial or community choice financial is doing anything about this dispute. I was never given any paperwork other then the receipt of the check I cashed with them and my receipt after paying them back. After 3 days of calling both businesses, I have still not been informed of my account number or what was happening with this so called line of credit I did not know I opened. This was suppose to be a one time borrow transaction and now is turning into a unnecessary debt. I will be reporting both companies to the BBC and the attorney general's office.
They sent for a repossession. The company had no logo on the truck and no paperwork, trespassed on my property, pulled my truck off my property with a snatch and grab which doesn't work to well on my raised truck, he bent my front end suspension unhooked in the street, drove though my neighbors yard to hook to the back. I had called and talked to Shalonda who tried to double the repo fee which is against tn law, I cursed at her. She then refused to take my payment. Now I have hundreds of dollars worth of damage to my truck, not to mention I now have to fix me neighbors yard. Horrible company.
When I first needed them the company was great! After dealing with them this second time I have had thee worse experience the collections customer service rep I talked to name John is the most disrespectful, rudest person they have! I asked to speak to a Manager or director because there is always someone they take direction from he wouldn’t give me there name! Instead he just kept hanging up the phone! That’s not how you conduct business! No one has a answer for you! If you really need cash go to CashNet USA
