Have had many visits this past year to clear up issues with a dog I adopted from a shelter. Dr. Pavlik and everyone I encountered there was very concerned about my new pet's problems (which were hidden and extensive). After seven months of treatment everything turned out great. Everyone was very patient and rooting that all would turn out well for my dog. Counter staff was very supportive and vet techs got to know us very well.

Great vets. Customer service (Lisa) always wonderful and others. Open 7 days a week. Pets do not seem to be afraid to be there. That speaks volumes.

I absolutely love these vets. I have been to a few of the staff but my experience yesterday was unbelievable. My dog Sophie was diagnosed recently with an enlarged heart. I could see the effects it was having on her. Yesterday I rushed her over to community in temple city because she couldn't even walk and was breathing 100 miles an hour. Dr. Tsugawa immediately grabbed her and put her on oxygen and gave her a shot of Lasix. Within 30 minutes (and 15 of it giving her CPR I found out), she died. I almost didn t make it in time. I was obviously devastated but Dr. Tsugawa was amazingly compassionate and assured me they did everything they could. I knew when I put her in the car that it was extremely serious. I can't say enough good things about the Dr. Throughout the illness, with each checkup, she was amazing. Kudos to her for her bedside manner and trying her hardest to save my Sophie.

Front desk staff 'Lori' is just out right rude, and seems to forget that her job is to provide customer service. I called Community Companion on behalf of my critically ill mother to get price quotes, and to verify if certain vaccinations are "required" before the cat is neutered. Lori seemed to have trouble answering my direct questions. She was making sounds (not spoken words) over the phone implying that certain vaccinations should be done. Lori said, "Well, they typically like to have all the vaccinations current" and I replied, "but is it required." After Lori made some more sound effects, and told me that all vaccinations are required for boarding (information I did not inquire about). I asked Lori for a third time if there are "required" vaccinations before getting the cat neutered, and then she said yes, rabies and FeLV. I clarified if this is policy or personal feeling, she said it was policy. Lori proceeded to tell me with an attitude that they (Community Companion) told her (my mother) to come back the next day to get the cat neutered, and she (my mother) never came back, and hasn't come back since she got the cat from them. I told Lori that my mother had a stroke, so what do you expect her to do. Lori's response, "Well, we wouldn't have known that. I replied, "that's why you need to reel in your attitude. Why do you think someone is calling to get prices for services? Obviously I'm looking into having certain services done... We are picking up our pets files later today to go to another vet. Another incident was with Dr Tsugawa. My husband took our cat (adult male Maine Coon) to the vet due to a respiratory infection. The cat was sneezing and had a running nose. My husband got a same day appointment. The office called my husband to see if they can push up the appointment time and my husband agreed. He made arrangements to leave work early. My husband arrived on time for his appointment but had to wait for over a hour to be seen. Tsugawa came out to the front desk to apologize for the delay, and started to complain that she is going to miss seeing a symposium. Come to find out that the whole reason for rescheduling was she wanted to attend a symposium. When Tsugawa came into the exam room she acted like she couldn't even move the cat. She asked my husband to take him out of the carrier, move the cat to the table, reposition the cat for her. Tsugawa gave my husband attitude because the cat was 18lbs, and was acting like she needed a forklift to move our fur ball around to do a basic examination. Average weight for an adult Maine Coon is 17lbs. Then Tsugawa took advantage of my husband buy prescribing medications for symptoms my cat was not displaying. I felt like Tsugawa was upset that she couldn't attend the symposium, and that her appointments ran passed her regular time so she financially took it out on my husband. Dr Pavlik agreed that I can return the unopened medications, and we would be refunded. Another incident. Can't for certain blame Community Companion but we boarded our Maine Coon in Dec 2016 (he did have health issues) and he died in their care. So...yeah. We are done with this place

I love this place. Always on time, very pleasant, very competent, and most importantly, very affordable. Don't try to get you to do unnecessary procedures, which is why I left my last vet.
