The Arts Council has been at the forefront of arts and culture in Kinston for more than half a century. Without the Arts Council, Kinston would not have the largest public art collection in the state.

I only had a title time to stop in while in town but very much enjoyed this Arts Council showing off local artiest in a beautiful old building. The building is as enjoyable as the art. At the time they had a show if maturing trains that caught my interest. Unfortunately it was only running on the weekend but they let me see the room and see the large set they put tougher to make larger trains. It look like they had some classes going on for their were women leaving with what looked like their art gear from bing in a class. They have a little gift shop as well with local art to purchase as well. FYI: I went to the wrong interest to start on the corner instead of the doors facing the train tracks.
