Story

Community Hospital of Huntington Park is an 81-bed acute care hospital which has been providing high quality medical services to the city of Huntington Park and the surrounding areas of Los Angeles County for over 50 years. Acquired by Avanti Hospitals in 2010, Community Hospital of Huntington Park is fully accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and is a licensed provider for Medicare and Medi-Cal, along with many HMO’s, PPO’s, and managed care organizations. We offer a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services designed to meet the needs of our patients.

Paramedics took my 87 year old dad there on Sunday. The staff was helpful, courteous and attentive. Sadly, my 89 year old aunt is currently a patient there. The staff communicates well with the family about her condition and any changes.

We stayed 5 hours in the waiting room(til 1am)and never got called...My mother was extremely sick, and all the nurses were doing were joking around with each other...When I went up to the desk the security guard and the desk clerk were flirting with each other...When I asked about how long it will take my mother to get in because we had been waiting a long time, she said “I don’t know”.....As a Registered nurse myself I am disgusted by this hospital....The only reason I go to this hospital is because it is close to my house. However, I will never step foot into that place again...You deserve 0 stars, and need to hire more ambitious and caring people

This hospital is by far the worst ever....  My grandmother went into her second surgery due to the doctor messing up the first one.  My grandma went into surgery last Friday in perfectly good condition and positive that the surgery was going to end well....  She died that Sunday due to infection and overdose...  They mixed different drugs in her system and none of the doctors signed her death because they she died of Diabetes...  (She never had diabetes ) .. Please just don't come here .. I'm trying to save a life and not have anyone go through what my family has

If you want to die this is the place to go. The nurses are lazy and it's been like that for yrs. My sister waited 6 hrs. before getting her asthma treatment that was ordered hrs. before and that she desperately needed. It wasn't until the shift trade that the next nurse realized she hadn't gotten any treatment. Thank God she was transferred to her regular hospital later that night.
