What a wonderful community. I was volunteering for their annual Corned Beef Sandwich fundraiser. They bring in over 650 lbs of real Chicago Jewish corned beef and Jewish rye bread. Just like the other BIG cities you know ~~ New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles! They make and sell the sandwiches to people of Ft. Wayne who love the authentic dish. Over 1,900 sandwiches were enjoyed by groups from big companies to individual diners. It's an annual event ... watch for it about this time next year. You'll be glad you put a reminder on your calendar.
Met there for the annual interfaith Thanksgiving service. It has a large sanctuary and another large room for socializing. The building is beautiful and well maintained.
Come to services - Rabbi Meir is wonderful
