Mission

Congregation Adath Jeshurun exists to provide a religious and spiritual experience for its members based upon the ideology of the Conservative Jewish movement in America. Its mission includes the education of its members to make them more committed, better practicing Jews, and better human beings, to enhance the quality of their Jewish life, and to provide a better sense of Jewish identification. In addition, Its mission is to help perpetuate Judaism, and to assure our survival as a people. AJ’s mission also includes educating its members so that they can explore their relationship to the State of Israel.

The Congregation’s goal is to have its members become part of the Congregation, benefiting from its ideology, its educational opportunities, its programs and to allow its members to grow spiritually, morally and ethically. These goals exist with the full understanding that congregants all have different needs and may be at different levels vis-a-vis their needs, values, priorities and goals. The Congregation’s mission is to provide an environment, and accepting attitude, and the professional and lay leadership to allow for maximum growth.
