Story

Congregation B'nai Emunah is a liberal, egalitarian, inclusive synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.

Our community has greatly evolved over its 60-year history, when first founded by the "Shanghai Jews" who fled Nazi Germany. We've become a family of Jews from all walks of life, including Jews-by-choice, interfaith families, members of the gay and lesbian community, and recent immigrants from around the world.

To pursue Jewish knowledge, identity and observance in an open, inclusive and welcoming environment where people gather from all walks of life as one loving and supportive community.
