Congregation Beth Israel is the Mississippi Gulf Coast's only synagogue. The congregation's building was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but in May 2009, a new synagogue opened and the congregation once again has a permanent home.

My family and I moved to the Coast about 4 months ago and have had an incredibly warm and friendly welcoming to the CBI community! The Shabbat services are intimate, the community is beyond kind, and the Hebrew school is incredible! We got married at the Synagogue in June and it was an truly special experience for us to share with our new community!
