Story

Located on the south shore of Long Island, Congregation Beth Ohr's mission is to fulfill the social, cultural, and educational needs of the community.

A Conservative, Egalitarian synagogue, our nurturing, inclusive atmosphere enhances the spiritual, mental, moral, and physical welfare of our membership,

Our clergy, leadership, and thriving Hebrew School engage families to build meaningful lives through prayer, social activities, and Jewish learning.

All generations and orientations are welcome: single members, married couples, and diverse family groups. No one is turned away.

Mission

Congregation Beth Ohr in Bellmore, NY is a Conservative Egalitarian Synagogue under the auspices of the United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism.

Our mission is to meet the spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs of our membership through our meaningful services and activities. We strive to assist in the observance of life-cycle events according to the principles of Conservative Judaism. It is our goal to enhance spiritual, mental, moral, and physical welfare of our members and the community at large.

We seek to create an environment that helps our members build meaningful Jewish lives through prayer, education, and a caring atmosphere. We welcome all generations: single members, married couples, and diverse family groupings. No one is turned away. We all belong to the Congregation Beth Ohr Family.
