Congregation Kol Emeth is a friendly, participatory, and egalitarian Conservative synagogue in Skokie, Illinois. We are a congregation of approximately 200 families and are affiliated with United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism of America. We offer an open and inviting atmosphere through which each congregant can find an opportunity for individually meaningful religious expression. We strive to be an embracing, supportive and vibrant community which observes Judaism in the Conservative tradition. We are devoted to the preservation of Jewish values and culture. We appreciate the great diversity of backgrounds that make up our Jewish community and we are dedicated to their spiritual growth. Our congregation includes not only people imbued with Jewish experience and training, but also those just discovering the magnificence and richness of Judaism. Some of our members come from very traditional religious backgrounds while others grew up in totally non-observant homes. Some are Jews by choice; others are part of interfaith families. We are united, however, in the common desire to belong to a congregation where community means friendship and where religious practice means spiritual inspiration.
