At Connecticut Veterinary Center our mission is to treat our clients as we would treat our families, and to treat our clients' pets as though they were our own. HORRIBLE PLACE. I have worked in rescue for almost 10 years. I have been to every vet around. This is by FAR the worst. I called them at 9 pm on a Wednesday night and asked them if I could come in with an emergency case. I had just picked up a puppy from Hartford who was dying and needed medical attention ASAP. When I arrived they place me in a room where I waited for about 30 minutes before they even came in to get my information. As this 8 week old 3 lb puppy lay lethargic and vomiting on the table I asked how much longer until the DR came in. Joseph informed me that the DR was with someone else right now and he would find out how much longer. Never let me know and never came back in again. After an hour of waited I decided I that if this puppy went any longer w.o medical attention that she wasn’t going to make it. I was very worried about PARVO. I informed Joseph that she could not wait any longer and I was going to need to go somewhere else. He didn’t bat an eye and was not bothered one bit at the fact that this puppy was dying. I went down the road to Veterinary Specialists of CT where they met me at the door and took her back immediately. She tested positive for parvo and would have been dead within the hour. Not only will I NEVER go back here but I will continue to spread the word about how heartless and compassion lacking they are. If you don’t care about animals, don’t work with them. Absolutely disgusted and I wish such a horrible experience upon no one. Do not EVER bring your fur baby here if it’s an emergency that’s for sure.

I don’t know what to say! I’m glad my princess is ok after surgery, but they give me a hard time with the price of the procedure. When I was getting my dog ready for surgery I ask more than twice to more than two employees in different occasions they agreed in one price, but when I when to pick her up it was something different. I show them prove and they make the change, but I could feel the attitude towards me and even other clients there. And it was not the doctors or people caring for my dog inside the hospital, it was the office people awful, no empathy and rude and I have the feeling that when I left they would talk about me. I don’t feel welcome and then I noticed my dog have her nose red and with a bump. They didn’t tell me anything I have to call them and ask what happened with her they couldn’t give me a clear answer they jus said “most dogs try to open the crate and that’s probably what happened with her “

While I appreciate the care the facility provides to my dog, it is poorly managed.  I booked an appointment for a 6am visit with Dr. Hopkins and was not seen until 7:20am.  I had to be at work and no one could give me updates while I waited.  I felt very unappreciated as a customer.  There are plenty of other vets in Connecticut -- I will likely take my business somewhere else.

I took my puppy to the vet and seen Dr.P and Evelyn..very wonderful people and very helpful. Will definitely recommend everyone i know to choose this veterinary center.

If I can give the place -5 stars I would. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! I just received a puppy for my bday and the same day I received her she started to vomit her dog food. Being a new pet owner I freaked out and rushed her here. (I googled here and it was the closest) they are money HUNGRY THEIVES who stole my puppy!! Once I arrived with her they rushed her in and about an hour with no clear answer proceeded to tell me she was really really sick and she wouldn't make it through the night. And even if she would they would have to put her down because that's how bad off she "was". After they give me a $985 bill and say u have to pay this in full asap and u can take your sick dog home, with prescriptions and treatments that woulda cost me money I couldn't afford. They then tell me another option is to sign my ownership rights over to them because it would be pointless to take her home because she woulda "died that night" is what they told me, I was soo hurt so I signed my rights over just so she can have a fighting chance because for one I couldn't afford an almost $1,000 bill that I had to pay that night and they said she was tooo sick to even survive the night. So I signed her over distraught and went home. The next morning I called to check up on her and they TOLD ME SHE WAS HEALTHY AND DOING GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they couldnt give me any information because I "signed over rights and no longer have ownership" I'm sooooooo upset right now, they basically stole my puppy and lied to me about her health. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS AWFUL PLACE
