Cute open park area with benches, a small field, and shade. There are fewer homeless on average than surrounding parks--those that are occasionally there don't seem to panhandle. It's low foot traffic so they're just there chilling. The dog park area is small but worth going if you live nearby. About a quarter acre, mostly grass and fully enclosed with black rod iron. No other dog parks compare within walking distance of the Eola Lake area. Clean and has one washing station outside of the gate. Most owners in the area who frequent this park bring well trained pets. My 20lb puggle and 50lb black lab both love going.
Park was recently closed for new lawn to be installed, doesn’t seem as this happened. Existing grass is infrequently cut or maintained. Garbages rarely cleaned resulting with a strong smell. After rain huge mud area. Water fountain flows so low that it collects so much dirt while flowing. Bigger parks are better taken care of. Never seen a dog park this poorly maintained, seems as if whoever is responsible and/or in charge just doesn’t care about people or dogs. I’ll gladly change this review if changes are made although this review alone most likely will go nowhere unless more dog owners complain.
The area is nice but if it rains a little or if their sprinkler system goes off then the next day there is mud everywhere and my dog just happens to love it. So we don’t go there very often unless it’s been a very dry week otherwise she gets filthy as you see in the picture.
Clean, smaller spot downtown. Good place to stop in and let your dog move around for a bit. Water fountain is nice.
Glad this park is here, but this mud is disgusting and smells like sewage. My dog unforgettable couldn’t resist. Now I have a smelly pup. Also the fencing is cute but really cheap, and the spray hose was OUTSIDE the fenced area. To top it off I couldn’t find a specific poopie trash receptacle??? I don’t really recommend this park, I’d much rather go to Lake Baldwin, Pawmosa, or Sanford.
Nice dog park, albeit a bit muddy and small. I had no idea this park was here till I stumbled on it today. My dog really enjoyed just standing in the mud haha.
Great place to bring your pets.
Small, leash-free dog park that's composed of at least 50% mud at any given time. There's a hose nearby to help wash off your dirty doggo afterward, though, which helps. The 2 hour parking until 6 pm is free no limit after 6, but limited to about a dozen spots.
Really really great place to hang out everyone that have brought their pets have been considerate and it’s really nice and it’s clean and the grass is really nice they consider their pets that come to nice place to go
Small-ish ok for my medium dog tho but clean and well-kept grounds. A few benches, a water station for people and pets and recycling and garbage on site. A little close to busy roads but the fence is nice and high.
