The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. No call back, lost order, and no help what so ever. Only needed a small piece of glass for a table top. Two weeks later no glass and I had to call them looking for my order. Which they lost and never filled. Stay away from this company. Wish I could give them no stars.

Great glass, fast, and amazingly low cost — for homeowners to contractors to... As a local DIY homeowner I used to visit Heritage Glass in Lexington, until they went out of business in 2011. The service was helpful and friendly at Heritage, a typical 13" x 25" 1/8" double-glazed pane of tempered glass for over the tub would take about 10-14 days to be ready, and cost about $100, but it always fit properly. When they went away, I searched high and low for a similar home glass source. In desperation, I found Contract Glass — a bit more of a drive for me, but not too bad, tucked away in a manufacturing/office park in Billerica. My first time picking up an order there, I wasn't sure where the entrance was, since what looked like the front door was locked. I soon found out that they are mostly a manufacturing/assembly facility, and thus tend to start and close early; 4pm is not uncommon. Fortunately for me, a nice lady was still there, unlocked the door for me, got me my order and I paid for it. Once home, the glass was precisely as ordered, and has been ever since. The biggest differences between Heritage and Contract are threefold: 1) Less Time: Their glass is usually ready in a week or less — about half the time as Heritage. 2) MUCH Lower Cost: Their prices are consistently a FRACTION of what I paid at Heritage. When an identical double-glazed tempered pane needed replacing, Contract Glass had it ready in about 4 days, and it was less than $35! 3) Doesn't reek "DIY Glass Shop." MUCH less important to me than the other two differences, Contract looks and feels less like a homey DIY glass shop, and more like a clean, sparsely-furnished office with few decorations — certainly not a retail space stacked head to floor with glass objects, samples, windows, etc. On the contrary, walking into the building I kept trying to reassure myself I'd come to the the right place. The office space fronts a much larger factory floor in back, and as you stand or sit in the office when you pick up an order, your eyes are struck by the lack of clues as to the nature of the business. Eventually your eyes find one or two tabletop displays of what look like industrial glass samples, which makes you feel better. Then your order is brought out to you from the back, which seals the deal. :-) I'd imagine they do a lot of volume work, and Contractors may feel more at home in such an environment. Just a guess, though. I've since learned that this location is rather new for them, so this "non-issue" is likely to dissolve with time. Overall, the people I've dealt with at Contract are very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm delighted with my experiences there, and simply could not recommend Contract Glass more.
