This Corner Comics has one of the most well-thought out children's sections of any book store I've ever been to. It is upstairs, removed from the cafe and the rest of the store. You take an escalator up, which is a bonus for Little Q. 

Once upstairs, there are lots of child-sized tables to sit at and read, including a little reading amphitheater with loads of seating for adults and wee ones alike. The selection is impressive, and the staff recommendations spot-on.

For a chain store, this one is done right. Oh, and there is a cafe downstairs, plenty of adult-facing literature, and restrooms as well.

This comic place is awesome. The staff here really love talking shop, and are very knowledgable. Even when they didn't have personal experience with some of my on the fringe interestests they were quick to find the answers. The shop has a good deal on comics and books, none that I could find were over priced. They had fantastic random overstocked white box issues for a fantastic sale price. A while back I used to come in just for their 20-25 comic mystery stacks. All which came with great comics, and after 4 of them purchased I only received 1 duplicate out of 100 or so comics!

I've been in here a few times now.  The shop is inviting and clean.  Its layout is nice and everything is easy to find.  They have a large selection of everything I expect to see in a comic shop and then some.  The guy who was working each time I went in was knowledgeable and friendly.  We chatted about geeky subjects and I felt very welcome there.  I spoke with him over the phone first because I was looking for something special and they were willing to order it and hold it for me.  This place is just what a comics shop should be.  Nothing pretentious or offputting.  Lots of great new comics and collections and related items.  It's not hard to find and is near the freeway.  I just wish I lived closer to it so I could go more often!
