I am (well was) a patient at the San Antonio location which apparently closed at the end of the year. I have a medical condition (not weight loss) that requires monthly monitoring and medication, so I called to schedule my monthly follow-up appointment and was told that the office has been closed and "may" open at a new location in March. I was not notified and asked how was supposed to get a refill on my medication for this month. Their response was that I can either drive 300 miles round trip to Corpus Christi or 400+ miles round trip to Houston to see one of their physicians there. It isn't enough that I was given no notice, but they didn't even provide a feasible alternative for existing patients. Based on my understanding all of these clinics are run by the same people. I have no idea what I am going to do since I can't just jump to another doctor and have them refill my medication, they don't know me and likely will need time to understand my treatment. The doctor that was at the clinic in San Antonio had been my physician for many years, so enough time was taken to find a treatment that works. This is so unprofessional and shows that they have no concern for their patients.

Horrible customer service at Dr. FORD'S. Any weight loss or hormone therapy treatment you have to pay completely out of pocket and all those appointments are kept completely separate from the family practice appointments which are billed with insurance. They won't tell you that on the phone, they will make you take a day off work to come into their office and then tell you it's a $250 payment out of pocket. Very poor business practice. I would not recommend to anyone ever.

The staff has always been very nice and helpful. I never feel judged when going to talk about weight loss, just never seem to have time to keep my check ups after the initial visit. I have recommended to friends who are looking for help losing weight👍
