This mall has went so far downhill in just a few years. Not many stores left and it's getting very run down inside and out. A place I would've recommended years ago, but not anymore. Mall of Louisiana has everything this mall has and more.

Sadly, there aren't many shops left in this once bustling mall. The ones that are left are well maintained, friendly and ready to serve.  Worth a visit for a peaceful shopping experience.

What can you say about Cortana?  It was at one time the place to go in Baton Rouge, it was where you looked forward to going.  At the time, it had everything you needed.  Good food, a family friendly environment, teenagers aplenty hanging out.  In the past decade, it has descended into the realm of dead malls, and it will soon be nothing more than a last vast almost empty place.  With the exception of the Virginia College, there isn't much reason to go to mall city anymore.  All the good stores long ago moved to the Mall of Louisiana.  It's sad knowing that it was where I spent a great deal of my childhood, and part of my teenage years.

It is dead and scary for a small college student. I walked in to 5 dudes smoking blunts yelling random stuff at me. The mall of Louisiana has the same big stores and is way safer

Nothing hardly there. Best thing still left is Dillards. But if you are not from around and looking for a mall. Don't waste your time and come here. Features a few hip hip stores, Bath and Body works, a Barber Shop, Rainbows and maybe one or two stores besides Dillards.
