This place has so many things that should/would make for a great campground, but there was something indescribable in the air, and just an overall discomfort for me. It's a great place for kids. We stayed overnight in early October and the campground was all decked out for Halloween. The had pedal operated go carts and a nice playground. There is a beautiful lake with a large gazebo that would be great for weddings and parties. In the reviews, I saw a conversation regarding an aggressive goose. I didn't see any geese but I did see a swan who was too busy intimidating the many ducks in the lake to be bothered with people. There are a lot of seasonal/long-term units with lots of "stuff" outside. Many of the units were old. But they seemed to be mostly in one area. The owner was friendly and informative. I have no complaints about him :-)

This is a great place to go camping or just to relax. However there is a swan like others have said, if you feed him he will return all animals do. I’ve seen he’s most aggressive when the camp just opens up in April. Other then that the staff are nice, and will help with anything you need.

Do not go to this campground!!!! My family and I have been going out to this campground for the last 10 years. I thought the staff was some of the best people around until my last stay. I was kicked out the last night of my stay at 10pm at night and told that I had 45 minutes to pack and get off the property with 5 children one of which has disabilities. We were forced to pack in the dark! There lights outside their cabin did not work. Horrible treatment horrible people!!! Dangerous wildlife on property dogs not on leashes!!! On arrival to our campsite there was a huge Swan named Henry that they have on their property. We had to chase him away so that we could unload our car. When I got to close he nipped me on the hand. On the second day the same swan had come back to our campsite and chased my two girls into our cabin. This swan is very aggressive and intimidating it had us trapped in the cabin. The neighbor next-door had to call the owner, when he got there he said that it was the campers fault for feeding him that's why he had chased my girls!( I was fuming) So here we are on our third day.... We had bad sewer gas coming in from our toilet. It had obviously not been emptied. An employee had to come take care of it. The employee was nice and very apologetic. On the forth day my mother-in-law came out and also rented a cabin. My parents also came out for the day we had a nice dinner and went on a walk. On our way around the lake my dog was attacked by two dogs that were not on the leash. it is obvious that the rules are not enforced around here because nothing was done. Later we had had a fire and I'd be damned but that swan was back and aggressive. It was attacking mallard ducklings which are a protected species. My mother-in-law protected the ducklings by chasing Henry and putting a rake in between her and the swan so she would not be bitten like I was. Neighbors also were spraying the swan with water and throwing rocks at it. Well someone didn't like what she was doing and called the owners. The owner than yelled at a 60 year old woman like she was a child. When I went to explain what was going on the man was rude and told us to pack up and leave. Another owner came over and continued to complain at us about the swan and told us we had 45 minutes to get out. When we told him that the other people had sprayed water and thrown rocks he told us that he did not believe us and called us a liar. Horrible people they care more about their wildlife than they do their paying customers! Do not go here they have dangerous animals on the property and loose dogs all over the place. I'm so entirely shocked by the way we were treated I will never go back here!

I recently went there with family and tried hard to make it a positive experience. The good part was the lady at the front desk was very helpful and nice. The bad was that the cabins and pretty much everything about the place seemed misrepresented from the site. The jumping pillow, obstacle course, and snack bar were barely open. It says tram runs on weekend so we saw it running once and it didn't have anyone on it. We walked to see where to get on and had seen it go by once more not even filled. When we got there the lady said tha ts all he does for the might and he was done! Also outside our cabin always smelled like poop from the rv sewage facility. We will not be returning.
