While traveling with a friend and our 6kids (combined) we came across this very friendly restaurant. With free all you can eat "meatless" (soups salads and desserts including make your own sundaes) meals for kids under 6 (all our kids are under 10!) including drinks, this was place was perfect for us. We were quickly seated and able to order drinks almost immediately. Food that was ordered came out before we even realized any time had passed. Free refills were given automatically as our beverages depleted. This place was amazing!

Great food at great prices. The salad bar that comes with all entrees makes it an even better deal.

We went to Country Cooking for Veterans Day meal. The food was delicious and our server Deanna was the BEST. I highly recommend this restaurant and I gave it 5 stars.

What a great place to stop. Food is fresh and portions are plentiful.

The service is horrible. The first time I was there, I waited 5 minutes for someone to take my order, while the couple who came in behind me got waited on first. I was like, if they take this long to take my order, then I'm going to Shoney's. I returned 15 minutes later, where I met this clerk who had the meanest scowl on her face. She didn't greet me. I then asked her for a to-go box. She handed to me. As I filled the box with a salad about the size of my palm, I asked a male waiter how much do they charge per pound. He said, $5 plus change. I asked, "per pound?" He said, "no. per box, but you put as much food as you want in it." I looked at the foods on the bar, and there wasn't much of a selection. I told him, "there is not much food that I want to put in the box." Then I asked, "so this salad that is about the size of my palm will cost me $5 plus change???" HE said "yeah." I went back to the clerk who had the scowl on her face, and I asked her "why didn't you tell me how you all price your foods? Plus you didn't greet me, but that besides the point." She said "I just got here, but if you want, I can give a smaller container that costs $1.99 and toss the $5+change container in the trash." I said, "that is fine." She gave me a small container, I filled it up with a little bit of food, then returned to the register to pay for. HERE'S WHERE SHE MESSED UP - after I paid for my order, she told me to have a good day, with the same scowl on her face AND she didn't bother to ask me if I wanted plasticware (a fork and spoon). I had to tell her that she forgot to ask me if I wanted a fork. OTHER places offer plasticware after you pay for your order. WHY COULDN'T SHE? Yet I watched her smile and emulate someone with an upbeat personality to the white couple who walked through the door shortly after I entered the place, but when she interacted with me, she had the meanest look on her face. The male supervisor or manager (whomever he is) watched her the entire time and didn't say a darn thing to her about it. And I noticed there were no non-white folks in there. And the white folks who were in there received way way WAY better service than I did. I was appalled. I'm never stopping by that place EVER AGAIN! Due to this experience, I'm staying away from places that have the word "Country" in their title. DISGUSTING!!!
