If I could give this kennel a 10 I would! We board our dogs here and it's great! Wouldn't use any other kennel!

I boarded my dogs at Country Lane Kennel from 4/29 to 5/9. While I was returning from NC, the kennel called and said Gracie was favoring her hind leg. They told me that she probably would be more comfortable if I would pick her up when I returned rather than wait till morning when I was scheduled to pick her up. There was no offer by kennel to take her to vet. When I arrived the dog's leg was severely swollen and she was lethargic and barely able to stand. I was told that she had been eating up until the time I arrived. I was told that the swelling was unnoticed even though she was bathed and nails clipped. I called the vet prior to leaving the kennel parking lot. The vet returned my call taken by their phone service. I was told to take her temperature once I got home with her. The vet called back and there was no fever, we discussed her symptoms, and the possibility of her being lethargic due to the kennel giving her extra seizure medication prior to my arrival. So we agreed to taking the dog into the vet Monday morning. After the vet examined Gracie, it was determined that she was extremely under fed, dehydrated, and her leg was infected due to being bound and preventing blood flow. She has been on an IV since Monday, May 9,. The skin on her leg has given way due to the amount of fluid/blood build up in her leg. The vet was able to get some puss out of these openings which has helped reduce some of the swelling. I talked to the kennel about paying the vet bill which was $900 as of Tuesday. They refused to pay the vet bill. They offered to waive the boarding fee then turned around and acted like I still owed for the boarding. They can't be be believed. Also, I asked for a copy of the bill and noticed they charged me for pickup on May 9 and I picked her up May 8. Plus they supposedly give you a 10% discount for boarding 2 dogs together and they only took 10% off boarding fee for one dog, not total boarding fee. This has been a horrific experience and I hate to think how long Gracie was without food and water plus the excruciating pain she has had to endure for days. The motive for this is to get compensation for her injuries and to let people know how poorly my dog was treated so they can be aware of the harmful situation that they are putting their loved pet into especially since they cannot tell us what is going on there.

Great location with lots of room for dogs to play. This place smelled clean unlike previous kennels we have visited in the past. The owner is very friendly and provided great customer service.

I would highly recommend Country Lane Kennels if you ever need to board your dogs. We have left our babies in their care for a week and have never had any problems. Our girls are just as happy to see us as they were to see the staff when we dropped them off. I appreciate everything the staff has done to keep our girls happy and healthy while we're away. Thank you!

We love country lane kennel! I am very particluar on who we trust to watch our Newfoundland when we are out of town and country lane goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with him being there! The staff is always so friendly and our dog loves to get dropped off! I would highly recommend country lane for long vacations or even just a one night stay!
