Country Oaks, is awesome !!! beautiful, peaceful, TV has 36 Channels, not that we stayed inside, it is relaxing, when it is time to wind down, the playground is great for kids, I do not have children, but can't wait to go again, and bring my grandchildren !!, They also have free wireless, it had a few issues but it was fixable. However we were impressed with all the activities they had almost every half hour. The bath-house was pretty clean and the pool was awesome The general store had just about anything you forgot plus extra goodies. definitely recommend it to our friends.

Well maintained Campground. Very clean, Large pool, family oriented, lots of activities for kids. Privately owned owners are always available and on-site. Highly recommended.

Cute place. Cabins don't have bathrooms and there was a hornets nest but this city girl liked her camping trip!

I don't recommend this campground for anyone with pets. I just spoke with 1 of the owners, Lynn, and she was very rude and disrespectful. My dad has a camper on a site there, and we're seasonal customers. A week before July 4th weekend, an accident had happened with my dog and a fellow campers dog. It was around 9-930pm at night when my son, myself, our dog and my friend were walking back to our camp site. A fellow camper had been walking her 2 small dogs and passed by us, i had my dogs leash wrapped around my legs so she couldn't move until i did. Unfortunately the one little dog wiggled out of his collar and had walked up to my son, which my dog did not react well to. She picked him up, turned away from my son and proceeded to shake this poor dog in an attempt to kill him, and only because she was protecting my 3 year old son. My friend was able to grip my dog by her neck to free the other dog from her, which the injured dog ran off. I asked my friend to take my son and my dog back to the camper since it was right beside us, so I could make sure the other dog was ok. Well he did not die, however, he was injured pretty bad. They took their dog to the hospital where he ended up getting stitches. The next day, there were so many different stories and rumors spreading around, it was almost unbearable. My dog has never went after anyone or been off her leash or lead since we started going there in April 2017. I spoke with the owner of the injured dog and they were very understanding and I also wanted to make sure that I apologized face to face and see the dog was not dead. The following weekend, July 4th, I had came down a few hours before my dad, and later on that night found out that the dog haf to leave because people were scared to walk their dogs, I was upset, i spoke with the other owner Bob, who said I needed to give it a few weeks for things to settle down. They made copies of my dogs paperwork and I followed the rules and took the dog all the way back home that night. I tried to reach out to find out what was going on, and if my dog was allowed back, we would muzzle her, and we even said we wouldnt even walk her anymore. I Left several messages, and never got a call back until today July 29th, 2017 around 5 pm. The owner Lynn had called me back, finally, to let me know that my dog is not allowed back to the campground. She informed several campers there that the dog was a visitors dog, yet knew it was my dad's dog. She then told me she spoke to the lady of the injured dog and said that the lady told Lynn that, Jim, was playing with his grandson when the dog came up and bit his hand,when I asked who Jim was, she said " YOUR FATHER!!" so I asked why would OUR dog bite my father? She proceeded to get an attitude and speak over me when I was trying to clarify that I followed all the rules and my dog was on a leash. Lynn then stated, "thats besides the point, the dogs no longer allowed here, and as for any money you may have put towards the season, thats between you and your father and not my problem" so I said if you are going to favor people at least be honest about it since my whole family camps there and obviously rumors spread like wildfire so i already know that theres only one person who keeps bringing it up, changing the story and bragging about how she got my dog banned from the campground. I guess my honesty and notice to favoring certain people rubbed her the wrong way, she said a few more disrespectful things and theb proceeded to hang up on me. For an owner, and person ib charge of a family owned campground, I was completely shocked and taken back about the way she spoke to me and did not even try to handle the situation in a professional and reasonable manner. I feel so disrespected and misunderstood, but the way things were handled and the way she spoke to me over the phone was so unnecessary and uncalled for, I hav never had such a horrible experience with a person in her position.
