I am upgrading them to a 3 b/c The Funeral Director called me and we were able to have a good talk about what happened. Like I said, normally Countryside always does a good job. I felt better after talking to him. He showed caring and understanding about where I was coming from and regarding my distress. THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL POST BEFORE THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR CALLED ME: ...aweful aweful!! So much rudeness And indifference during the funeral and wake!!! I am absolutely appalled!! There are no words... on the way to the graveside and am just flabbergasted at ineptness... Funeral DRIVER told my brother -in -law “ when is this going to be over so can shove him in and close the door.” Much rudeness to me as well... from the driver. Indifference from the Funeral Director...awful awful awful!!

The worst experience my family has ever had. So so so terrible its hard to put into words. Rude to multiple family members. Absolutely no direction for cars in the parking lot, the service itself or at the cemetery. I had to block cars for traffic flow for cars to pull out of the church because the hearse took off out of the parking lot leaving everyone else behind. Wouldn't move the hearse during wake time in torrential rainstorm to allow my handicap aunt and elderly to drive under the sheltered canopy. No help at all with guiding anyone during whole ceremony.

Our mother, Veronica, had a pre-planned funeral contract agreed to years ago with funeral director Philomena that was honored in every way. And through the years, she not only personally checked-in with our family, which provided continual confidence in the pre-planned process, but her caring personality provided confidence and comfort as well. When the time arrived, a simple call set the wheels in motion and the four of us met with funeral director Tammy to discuss the particulars and arrangements. We cannot imagine anyone doing a finer job, from taking care of every last detail (which are all equally important) to just a general sense of competence and warmth. On the morning of the funeral, our first contact was with Dennis who handled the all-important job of transportation, as well as adding a touch of comfort by way of his natural friendliness. And Tammy followed through with the rest of the day’s plans flawlessly. So, for our loving mother -- whose appearance exceeded expectations – her children and all of her family members, we want to thank Philomena, Tammy and Dennis from the bottom of our hearts for the praiseworthy professionalism, integrity, caring and kindness they provided at the very end of Mom's nearly 102-year journey. Country Side Funeral Home was very accommodating and helpful while dealing with and planning my Grandmother's Wake and Funeral. There was someone present at the wake the entire time who helped answer any questions as needed and knowledgeably. I liked the presentation of the funeral home as well. Staff was very direct and clear as to what to do and when with moving the casket, parking, ect. I recommend this Funeral home to anyone in the area, and even outside of the area.
