New Oak Park location visited on just 3rd day open. The popularity of the restaurant exceeded the kind staff's abilities a bit, as the line moved slowly. Eating in, four of us ordered the bottomless mug of coffee. When food was brought, I asked the server how to access the coffee refills - not wanting to appear to be cutting in line, and not wanting to wait in the long 15 minute line mid-meal for a refill. The server suggested I wait by the register and someone would refill mugs. I did this, holding up two empty mugs for 5 minutes near the register with no luck getting eye contact with anybody, then went to the end of the line, breakfast still at table getting colder. Then chatted with a lady in line about the hard time getting a mug refill, who then ignored my advice and said she thought she was ahead in line and that I had cut in front of her. Wrong, but I politely let her go ahead. Someone came around a moment later and saw me in line and refilled the mugs. So, friendly advice to fix that, please! Food: out of waffles at 9:30am. Bacon on the bacon-egg-cheese biscuit was razor thin, soggy and barely detectable, cheese was same. Egg was not good. Biscuit was excellent. All baked items our table of 4 had were excellent. The wraps, French toast, coffee and other items - all showed signs of cost-cutting quality, I hate to say. $60 breakfast for 4, you can get better. I wish this new location luck!

Horrible service. Waited over 20 mins for two sandwiches. The cashier told me the fruit cup was included in the meal and that it would come with cantaloupe, grapes, and melon. When I eventually looked at the receipt I was charged $2.50 for a half cup of strawberries. I could have gone to the grocery store and gotten a ful carton of strawberries for cheaper than their “fruit cup” price. These people clearly don’t know how to run an efficient business. Stick to the bakery or the food because clearly you are incapable of doing both.

Bought cupcakes to go from the Oak Park location. I understand they just opened but not sufficient reason to have dry cupcakes like they're not freshly baked. Their frostings are superb though that's why I gave 2 stars.

This place is great. Service, food (especially the sweets) are all exceptional. And it's easily accessible with plenty of parking and has got a great view of the passing trains which kids love.

I'll be waiting for this location to work out the kinks before I return again. I went in today, a Friday around 10:30ish to get a look at what they had, and order a coffee and cupcake to go. The first thing I noticed was the chaos in the line to order. It's loud in here, and people working the counter couldn't seem to get people's attention so they could take their order. People are staring at the menu boards and looking around, then factor in the noise level, it's kinda nuts. I knew what I wanted going in, and was eagerly waiting my turn. While in line I noticed the people in front of me were busy looking at the menu board, while a bakery staff member was trying to get their attention. I had to inform these patrons to move ahead if they were ready to order. Not sure what if anything CB can do about this, which I saw happen more than once. When it was finally my turn to order, I had a difficult time with the person taking my order. All I wanted was a decaf latte and a cupcake, but that took some time to get "figured out." I was told that they did not have decaf, that's all she said. I responded with the question, "no decaf at all?" That's when she offered an Americano. I responded with, "but I thought you didn't have decaf espresso?" She replied, "yes, we do not have decaf espresso." I replied, "but I asked for decaf, so why are you offering offering me an Americano if you don't have decaf espresso beans?" This young woman then informed me that they have decaf coffee not the other. By "other" I took that to mean decaf espresso. I started to tell her that decaf coffee would work, and before I could finish what I was saying, she was walking away to get me a decaf coffee. Possibly too loud for her to hear me, but she was walking away while I was still talking to her... When she came back I then requested a decaf Cafe Au Lait. That's when I saw this girl's brain explode. She had no idea what I was talking about. I explained to her what a Cafe Au Lait was and she told me to wait at the end of the counter for my drink. All in all everything tasted good. The decaf Au Lait was nice and the cupcake was delicious, but I feel the staff could use some additional training. It would also be nice if they could look into some sort of acoustic panels to help reduce the noise level. I'll be back in a few months once they hopefully get in a better groove.
