This is a beautiful historical hotel built in 1906. Frank and Cheryl have done an excellent job restoring it's natural beauty. It's in walking distance of some great little shops and restaurants. Great place to stay!!

The Courtland Hotel and Spa is our go to for staying in Fort Scott. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms and charming, and everything is super clean and well kept. I find myself inhaling into my pillow (picky pillow person) when I get home and saying "ahh, it smells like relaxation."

The rooms were very clean, well layed out, and the staff was knowledgeable and professional while really making you feel at home. With the hotel located just off 2 major highways and a railroad, we were concerns about sounds from those. We were wrong! The entire facility was quiet, well lit, and easy access from the parking.

Cool old railroad hotel, small rooms but what do you expect from an old hotel. The owners are both very nice. They've done a good job keeping the place going.

Staff is awesome. Rooms are clean. Small town charm in this building full of history. I stay several times a year and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
