Great location for exploring downtown Halifax. Nice rooms, some with great views of the harbor. Staff was super helpful and friendly; when we called down that the A/C in our room proved to not be working a very friendly maintenance man arrived at our door almost seconds later and fixed the issue in no time at all.

Warning do not book this hotel if you want guaranteed accommodation!  Although booking was made months prior to our stay on arrival, after a long train trip, we were advised that the hotel had "oversold" the rooms and we had been "bumped".  However, we were offered free accommodation 20 minutes out of Halifax for the period of our stay, including cab fares to $ from Halifax. 
What an outrageous situation! We had our booking confirmed but this chain decided to sell our room to someone else!
After a prolonged discussion with the manager, our room was suddenly found to be available after all. A free breakfast was offered only after we requested some compensation.  Beware.

This place is what all hotels should be. I can't say enough nice things about this place. The room was clean and updated. The restaurant made great food and espresso was very good. The people working were all friendly and accommodating. The wi-fi was easy and no hassle to access as well as free - as it should be. The pool is a salt water pool. There was a shoe buffer outside the elevator on the lobby floor to give your shoes a quick shine before setting out for a night out. The location is fabulous especially if you get the window view. I stayed during the Buskers festival and had a view of the boardwalk along the bay and the carnival all of which are directly across the street with quick access to everything sea side. There is a rooftop patio where food and beverage can be delivered. Valet parking is complimentary. Many, many entertainment and culture opportunities within walking distance!

Centrally located in downtown halifax. 5 minute walk to the waterfront. Our suite was very large and clean. Polite staff.

Very friendly, courteous staff. Rooms are well appointed and the harbour view terrace has a great view.
