The ultimate modern diner. Remember the old roadside diners? Where you could find decent comfort foods at reasonable prices? That is about where Cracker Barrel falls on the dining scale. Nothing flashy. Never gourmet. But comfort food at reasonable prices. Good, dependable. Nothing more. Nothing less. The service here was very good. That often is the greatest variable. The restaurant was clean. The food was hot, again, not always the case. We would return.

I had about a half an hour of spare time before my next run and since I had been running all day since 4:45 without a bite to eat or even some coffee I decided to stop in and see if i could grab something quick as it would be my only chance till around 4:30. I arrived just after 11:00 and was surprised to see that there was a line about 6 or 7 customers deep. As I waited and saw several empty tables I was a little concerned there was a problem but after some of those in front of me walked away I saw a woman come out of the kitchen and then up to seat the next customers so I am guessing it might have been a shift change thing going on. I was seated only a short time later and had a server come by a few minutes later when I told her everything I wanted which was just a cup of coffee and an apple dumpling. After she took the order I decided to play the peg game that was on the table and before my coffee came out I found out I was a genius. I gave a 4 star rating only because it has been a couple years since I was able to reach that level so I am feeling generous. The apple dumpling came out shortly after my coffee so there really was no wait although the cup did run dry before I was half way done my snack so I guess I should have also asked for water with the coffee. The dumpling was good as usual and held me over quite nicely till I was able to get home around 5:00 and make dinner for my family so I am glad I came by and would do it again. Take whatever info you want from this review but as for me and my family we have a lot of good fond memories of Cracker Barrel especially this one as it is local and will continue to eat here unless they try to come up with some new pc policy that we will not support.

First time for us...great service and great food. Loved the decor and the gift shop Awsome!  We will come again. At least we got seated in like one minute.  Not like Dennys. .we waited ten minutes and the place was empty. Then not one person came to take ore order. WE LEFT....

Great place, fire going. Lots of merchandise to look at.  Portions are a little small, could be a little bigger. And a few more seasonal selections.

Chicken fried steak was actually some nondescript stale tasting ground patty. Not sure if it was beef, maybe turkey or chicken. I only took one bite. Awful. Chicken tenders also seemed to be some fused product. Frying oil used for the chicken and okra tasted stale.

I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in years and had vaguely fond memories. Maybe the breakfasts are better? Who knows? Not going back.
