Mostly, Cracker Barrel is a dependable chain for great food at a great price. Lately, the coffee is so weak it tastes like hot water. This particular store today was running behind on a few things. No spoons in the rolled napkin, nor did the server bring one when I ordered coffee or with the grits and gravy---hello? They brought my and my husband's food out (his entre did not include biscuits) and he had finished his meal by the time they brought the biscuits out that came with my order. When you are eating a breakfast meal at 9:30am that is served with grits and gravy, it's not too much to expect the biscuits so you can enjoy the gravy before it gets cold. When you're a coffee drinker the last thing you want is a cup that tastes like hot water. The server did apologize and made a fresh pot that was good. I hope Cracker Barrel will strive to maintain their quality and consistency at their stores. We travel a lot in the southeast, I'm definitely seeing it slip, mostly in their coffee. We will continue eating at the Cracker Barrel and will post our views in hopes of inspiring greatness in all Cracker Barrel stores across the US. Lastly, my husband really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich with the ham and bacon and side of hash browns which is a new offering.

I've never had an issue with any Cracker Barrel, but I'm disappointed with my hometown location. I attempted to call in an order as I was in a rush to get to the hospital to check on my fiance. I had the friendliest person answer, Brantley. He transferred the call to a server on the to go line. She asked me to hold, which I didn't mind. The problem is the server put the phone down and began a 4 minute tirade. She began asking other people to take my order, how she didn't have time, had 3 other tables, and she was the only person answering the "to go line." Mind you the phone is not muted I heard it all. I get that you have to multitask, as do I on both my jobs. She could've had the decency to mute or place me on hold. I have a fiance in the hospital, trip planned today that we had to cancel, another trip that we may not be able to take because he may not be able to fly. I didn't give a damn about her issue. The time she took ranting she could've taken my order and moved. I'm not indecisive and immediately knew what I wanted. She then gets on the phone to take my order, by then Im pissed, and told her I would speak with the manager when I arrived. I don't know that I will visit again. I spoke with the manager he was kind but passive. My day interrupted by foolery.

Absolutely amazing comfort food. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is both cozy and welcoming. They offer a great selection of food that is not overly costly, and the store in the front has a variety of nostalgic and interesting items.

I love this place! Homey, friendly and unique! The food is home style delicious! The country style store is inviting and the decor is of a time long gone by. Everyone is so helpful, and friendly. I truly love this place!

We had Russell as a server. He was hands down the best server I have ever had at any restaurant. Kudos to him and definitely ask for him as a server. Our hostess was very kind as well. The district manager or manager of this establishment, an older man, balding was seated to the left of us on a laptop. If it had not been for the kind greeting we got and the immediate service from our server Russel we would have walked out immediately. This man was absolutely the most rude person I've ever encountered. He looked at us as if we were invading his personal space and scowled as we were seated. I was appalled and immediately asked to be seated somewhere else. But he eventually packed up and moved somewhere else. I can only assume one of the other hundred tables that were available were . He doesn't like people and I assume did not want our business. However, because our incredible server Russel was so kind and immediately attentive we stayed. And only because of that.
