The chicken and dumplings were amazing!! I didn't realize how badly I needed come country cooking until last night. The mac and cheese was delicious but the mashed potatoes tasted instant and the green beans were flavorless. The server we had was a young man and he was full of energy and very attentive. As always the gift shop is the best part.

I have always loved the food at cracker barrels but the one in Norman has really great service too. We quite eating at the one off of South Meridian because the service was bad. I am glad we found the one in Norman. It's worth the drive.

Cracker Barrel is OK. I have even there many times (not my choice) and have yet to have an excellent meal. Don't get me wrong. The food is good and the servers try hard. It's just the food is lacking in spice and originality. It is a fine place to get breakfast and the lobby gift shop has some fun stuff in it. But I would rather go someplace where I can get something seasoned with more than salt and pepper.
