We get a new waitress almost every time we go here. Our last one was very good and brought everything out as needed. I love the Turnip Greens with vinegar. I have had to ask for the vinegar and wait till the Turnips are almost cold before it gets to the table in the past. Food was very good and this is a great value and atmosphere.

I only go to Cracker Barrel on road trips and stop there out of necessity since it's close to the interstate. My experience with them has been 50/50 - half of the time it's good and half the time it's bad. We stopped at a Cracker Barrel twice this time and I was pleasantly surprised at the first one we stopped at (I forgot to write down the address) and disappointed at this one. So the 50/50 stats were as expected. I ordered eggs over easy with meat sampler which also came with hash browns and some other things. The ham was the texture of leather so I didn't touch it. The hash browns were half dry and crusty and half raw. I asked the waitress for a new batch but she said that they are all cooked on one big grill and they are all like that. She brought me another equally dry and undercooked batch. I'm a huge potato fan so this was a huge disappointment and I left the hash browns uneaten. My son ordered 2 pancakes and the plate arrived with a brown oily substance on it which an edge of one pancake was resting on. He pointed it out to the waitress and she brushed it off and said that the plate must have just touched something. I tasted it and it was some kind of brown grease. Had my relative, who was paying for the meal not been there, I would have walked out and left at this point. Instead, I wiped off the grease and ripped the grease-stained part of the pancake off. I have attached photos of the leathery ham and the dry crusty undercooked hash browns. The positives were that my eggs were fried properly and the pancakes and French toast ordered by others in our party were okay so two stars instead of one.

Eggs under cooked, hash brown casserole tasted like old cooking grease, sausage wasn't done and sugar ham was salty. Apples were delicious, grits were grits, biscuits and gravy was the best part of it all.

Love this place! They have great food everyone eats here in my family! Pancakes are the top dog and hash brown casserole is the best ever!

Come on....who does just love Cracker Barrel?! Oh, I know, the person who's never been there😂 Seriously, you'll love it. It has a nice Amish country feel to it and the nice thing about it is you can actually buy clothes and home goods there before or after you eat. A nice place to buy gifts for loved ones.
