Friendly and accommodating service. The smell of the small fire burning in the huge fireplace made you think you were in your cabin in the mountains. Loved it! Really added to the country atmosphere. Went home with a loaf of sourdough bread that my family devoured. Delicious!

Cracker Barrel in New Stanton, Pa has the very best food. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. All of it tastes homemade. It is all so delicious. However they make their food they must put a lot of time & effort into because the quality of it is exceptional. The service at this place is always wonderful. I have always had a great experience. Even when we walked in with a party of I think10  they accommodated us right away without batting an eye ..no heaving sighing nothing. We did not even have to wait either. The other great thing about this place is their store in the front. They have some of the most beautiful items for sale. You just have to see it to believe. A lot of it would make great gifts for those who have everything because a lot of the things are so unique. 
Last thing is the location. It is so convenient being that it is off the New Stanton exit from the Turnpike. If by chance you are traveling the Turnpike and you are thinking about a place to eat then get off this exit and eat at Cracker Barrel. You will not be disappointed

My husband and I were at cracker barrel on a wk day at 10 am and they weren't busy at all.  I mean they had customers but nothing like lunch or dinner time. So my husband wanted a salad.  He does not like spring mix so he told the waitress no spring mix just iceberg lettuce please.  She said with a snotty look OK well I have to see if we even have iceberg.  She came back over 10 seconds later like she didn't even ask and told us no iceberg. We always got salad with only iceberg before so my husband told the waitress that he only wanted coleslaw and the waitress said is that it.  So then I ordered.  We waited over 25 minutes for toast scrambled eggs cheesy and cheesy hashbrowns. So my toast was burnt and my eggs were really dry and I asked for Colby cheese it.  So I told her about the toast then I asked to speak to a manager.  I waited 15 min till a manager came over. I told him I already asked for new toast because it was burnt end now my eggs are cold and dry.  He acted like I was lying.  He took my plate and I waited another 15 minutes for scrambled eggs and cheese.  When they came out there was very little cheese.  He didn't come any of my bill. At that point I was done and wanted to leave

We love this place...had multiple gift cards..long story short...one was scammed when it was bought..cashier suggested call number on back had had some problems.  We did seems we were used in 3 places not in our vicinity.  They were so nice said can't reissue a card but will send you some coupons...so lots more help than we expected.  Great people to work with.
