James Neal with Craftsman Masonry repaired damaged brick on my fireplace. Some brick had to be removed to re-route the gas line and the replacement brick matched perfectly. He and his guys were professional, cleaned up their mess, and did the job on time and within the budget. I highly recommend them.

To Craftsman masonry I would like to give a personal recommendation for Craftsman masonry. James Neal and his crew perform quality masonry work and do so with a clean worksite, respectful employees, and no upfront costs. After purchasing a brick home that was twenty years old, I found that both of the Chimneys had leaks. After returning from vacation I found my carpet wet on the inside corner of family room and the house smelled of mildew. I asked around the neighborhood, and found that many of the homes in our tract had masonry issues in the past. Looking for a solution to my problem, I called a chimney service for help, but they attempted to scab over the issue and it was ineffective. I called James and he quickly identified the issue and was able to recommend a proper repair. In order to fix my chimney, the cap, flue liner, shoulders and inside wall had to be addressed. All the work was performed with matching brick and you can no longer tell that there was a repair. When I had bought my home the inspector had warned me of corroded lintels around my windows and garage, but he said that they weren’t anything to be worried about. At the time I assumed that he was right, but started to find small leaks in some of my windows, a sag in the garage header, and some cracking around the face of the property. James identified that these problems were all a result of improper installation and with inferior materials. James was also able to repair these items and my home is now bone dry during any rain events. I was originally going to use James for only my chimney repairs, but after seeing the way his employees respected my home, cleaned up every day and they quality of their work convinced me to correct my other masonry issues. I would like to also point out that James puts a lot of effort into finding the right brick and mortar color for your home. Being new to the area I was very happy to find a professional company like craftsman masonry and recommend them to everyone. Sincerely Ken H. South Shore Harbor, League City
