Great shop, walked in with a shifting problem,  Mark checked it out, found a bad cable and fixed it while i waited.

I like to use local bike shops occasionally even though I usually can perform the repair myself.  2 weeks ago I attempted to replace my front crank bearings on my tandem when I realized that I was missing the right wrench.  I wanted to ride that weekend so instead of ordering the wrench I took it to Crank Works in Brooksville to have them replaced.  Mark waited on me so I gave him my bike and had him call me when it was done.  He called me 20 minutes later to pick up my bike and charged me $39 for the repair.  20 miles latter the bearings were again loose.  When I returned he blamed me and charged another $10 to tighten them.

I've been to many bike shops around the country and this was the highest I was every charged for a simple repair.  On other trips I found their prices high and there selection low on other items.  I will never use this shop again and would not recommend it.

Crank Works Bicycles is the shop for you if you are looking for a local shop that provides excellent service and help which the large chains are unable to give. I recently bought a new bike from Crank Works after calling several Specialized dealers in the area. I was visiting Florida and did not know who might give me the best service. After speaking with the owners of this shop I knew that I had found individuals that were knowledgeable about these bikes and very responsive to my needs.  They were so helpful in answering any questions I might have, giving practical advice, all in a friendly, professional manner.
