They try. Been stopping in this tasting room for years. Recently stopped in and staff was the usual 'to good to be bothered with questions'. Either she doesn't know anything about beer or shouldn't be in the front of the house / has no personality. The place seems to draw that same type crowd. The beer is consistently musky and skunky... It tastes like the floor of the brewery smells. Not just a style of brewing like some claim. I suspect they either use a double sparge tech. - or more like they are lazy with sterilizing... I have seldom visited a brewery who has all the tools they need to do their job and continue to sell crappy beer year after year.

I stopped by Crazy Mountain to see if I could pickup 6 packs of a beer of theirs cheaper than I can find it in a liquor store. I walked in and there were only a couple patrons there, not busy at all. I make my way to the bar - one bartender is facing me and writing something down, the other is struggling to pour a beer from the tap without having the glass be 1/2 head. I stand there awkwardly for a few minutes waiting to be acknowledged, and then the person writing something down turns and walks right past me into the back of the brewery. The person struggling to make a decent pour finally realizes I'm there and I inquire about the beer I'm looking for. To their credit they showed me what they had in stock, but they had no idea about the beer I was looking for. It was basically a curt "sorry, idk, k bye" conversation. I've been buying 3-4 6 packs of this beer a week for the past few weeks, and based off this experience I'll be going out of my way to avoid Crazy Mountain brews in the future.

Great beer and great vibes. The Vail tasting room is great for and afternoon meet up with friends! The new Denver location which I just visited with my husband is a whole other level! There's a speak easy secret tap room! The beer is amazing and the whole crazy mountain theme with each beer having it's own character with a life on crazy mountain is awesome! My two favs are "old soul" Belgian ale and "credence" pilsner. Can't wait to get back to CO to have more!!! Highly recommend making the trip!

Awesome little spot with a cool environment. Worth finding and braving the traffic circles to find the place.
