This was in my top five restaurants in Montana. I make at least one or two trips each summer. The last two times I visited, they  were closed even though their hours on door and website said they should be open. Today it was Friday and their sign said open. They even had an open sign in the street. Another 200 mile round trip mistake. Sadly it was my last effort.

Home cooked comfort food.  Meat loaf, tortilla soup.  Excellent.  Nice service  great place for a bite after or before visiting the Bair Museum.

Excellent home cooking and yummy desserts. Great service and plesent atmosphere.

I don't know about the Inn but the Cafe has excellent food and superb pies for dessert.  Small place and out of the way but worth the side trip off of Highway 12.  On your way there or back check out the Bair Museum - Western and more modern art and furnishings of remarkable quality.

We gave eaten here a number if times over the years and always enjoy the food and service. Homemade food at its best. Don't miss the sour cream lemon pie!
