Pretty good place... Clean, quiet, and very nice owner. River just a few steps outside the door. Decent brewpub & cafes next door in either direction and across the street. Some rooms have a kitchenette between them, each with a door for access, which is kind of neat. Good shower pressure & seemingly plenty of hot water. The shower heads are a bit janky though and could probably use a soak in CLR or vinegar. WiFi is not the best, but that's kind of the point of coming out to the boonies. Can get the password for the WiFi at the aforementioned food & drink establishments to augment the Lodge's signal. No TV, which is fine by me. The bed is a bit stiff and noisy (creaky springs). Cool gas wall heater with a cutout to view the flames in a way that kind of looks like a small fireplace which is cute. I'd stay here again.

Markleeville is charming, and suite we stayed in was lovely -- really well furnished and tastefully decorated.  It was, in fact, much nicer than we expected or than the photos led us to expect. Todd, who staffs the Lodge, was extremely friendly and helpful.   Stonefly restaurant across the street is also really terrific.

Great place, close to restaurants. The manager Todd was a wealth of knowledge about the area.
