MUST GO!! Fabulous. The waitstaff were warm, friendly, and informative. The food was phenomenal. The best I've ever had. We enjoyed an outdoor table. The atmosphere was perfect. My only complaint is the portions were meager for the price, but again, the food was amazing! Travis, our waiter was very attentive, and helped us understand the menu, most of which was completely foreign to us. Everything we ordered was new to us, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Wow...just wow!!
My boyfriend and I came here after seeing a sign on the sidewalk. We were very please we did. The owner’s friend was very sweet and told us about all the cool things that were going on today in downtown orlando. The food was delicious! I’m always scared to order chicken because of past experience; but wow this Evan and bell chicken was very moist and flavorful! I highly recommend checking this place out. It has a beautiful atmosphere and charm to it. If you can, get a seat outside. There some people going around Caroline this Christmas time
The Feast of the Five Fishes on Christmas Eve was a superb 4-course dinner with exceptional wine pairings accompanying each course. See photos for visuals of the meal and the menus of both the meal and another that describes the paired wines. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience. Pricing for special, themed meals is considerably higher than the price range noted above. $$-$$$
Started with the intention of a different place, but ended up here. Was not disappointed with our decision. For a small business, what a huge performance. The service was top notch, helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food was fine dining quality and beyond delicious. The prices are above average but for the quality and service, worth every bit of what you pay. Features: Mask not required.
We happened upon this restaurant in Deland and my husband and I loved it! Matt was welcoming and certainly charming. He recommended a wonderful bottle of wine that we loved. The food was simply outstanding. The owner Tom came to our table and personally delivered our entrees! We hear that is something special. We had the escargot which was so delicious! My eyes were rolling it was that good. I had the duck and my husband had the lamb. We shared the strawberry goat salad and it was really very good. The dressing was light and complimented the salad wonderfully. We also had the bread pudding and crème brûlée. Both were excellent! The service was terrific! We will most definitely be back! Cress offers a high end dining experience at a very reasonable price. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and professional and the food was definitely 5 star. I would recommend anyone who can get to DeLand, Florida give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed.
It's a cute, elegant setup for the little hole in the wall that it is. The food was very good. The chef definitely surprises your taste buds with the variety of flavors they make work! We got the charcuterie board for app and it had very different flavors we loved together, minus the seafood sausage. I got the lamb for dinner and it was very good a little salty and tasted more like a roast than lamb but still very good! My husband got the boar and it was FANTASTIC. I'm not a beer or wine person so I was disappointed in the drink options but overall we decided it rated closer to 5 stars than 4 stars. We will be going back again and we definitely recommend it
Went out tonight for a birthday, my grandma’s. She is a woman of incredibly refined tastes and has said this is her favourite restaurant in Deland. The cozy yet elegant atmosphere is inviting and the food does not disappoint. We started with escargot, then for our entrees we had the filet and the evans farm chicken. Absolutely wonderful! The chicken was moist and the flavours of the cheese compliment it perfectly. Staff were attentive and polite. Great place to visit for a nice dinner in Deland!
Very small place but also very prestigious. Very professional and immaculate service. We had full-course meals which were to die for!
Excellent customer service. Excellent food. Worth the wait. The staff as well as the hostess make you feel welcomed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the dish ingredients and very attentive but not overwhelming. Very helpful. The manager as well very attentive and friendly. The chef at this restaurant is wonderful. I love the shrimp and grits. The rose wine was also a good choice. My husband loved his chicken roulade. Would definitely come here again. Very recommended.
