This "church" led by Brian Blount posted a facebook video of him "healing" 6 "100%" Deaf people. After the Deaf christian community in OKC called him out because the guy was still Deaf (did not smile or respond after being asked to smile), he deleted all comments that did not line up with his statement. He marked many comments with bible verses as "spam". He also deleted comments from Deaf Christians who were expressing their concern of this "healing" being damaging because Exodus 4:11-12 says "The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” See the last command from the LORD "Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say". Why is Brian deleting comments & oppressing & silencing us Deaf people instead of learning ASL (American Sign Language) or actively working with Deaf Missions with Deaf Pastors instead of posting damaging videos of "healing" Deaf people. I am Deaf myself, and also Christian - I believe Jesus Christ is our Savior, son of God who died on the Cross for us all. However, this "pastor" has no idea how damaging he is to Deaf people. Would he pray for someone who has a different skin color than the rest of the congregation? Would he single them out & ask if they want to be healed so they can fit in the rest of them? How would that person feel? He refuses to take the time & energy to LISTEN to the Deaf community. He does not even know ASL. He stated in his Facebook post that he had a "translator" (correct term is an ASL Interpreter) sign for the first time to the Deaf. As a Deaf person, I would not be able to understand the signer. Way to put the 6 Deaf people on the spot. How humiliating that would be! I am beyond disgusted at this fake Christian & how he oppressed & silenced the Deaf community. I wouldn't be surprised if a protest was led to this "church".

I contacted this church a few days ago to inquire if transportation might be available for their Sunday worship service (so those living within a certain mile radius may attend). I was surprised to receive no response.

A great church to get connected, hear the word of God taught, and join a school of ministry. The leaders/attendees don't just proclaim good news, they demonstrate it through various spiritual gifts. If you're looking for a place of freedom where control and intimidation is not apart the leadership team, check out Crestwood Vineyard.

I find comfort at this church. I also really like that they are involved with their neighborhood and neighborhood school. They contribute their time feeding people at the Salvation Army. They are truly disciples teaching disciples.
