Went for the kids, ( 10 and 14) they had a great time! I didn't realize I would enjoy it so much! I think my wife enjoyed it the most though, because she will be getting some nice stones out of the deal. We started with the standard gold pan and bucket that you get with admission which was a great price. The gold panning was neat to learn, but didn't yield much a few flakes each. The gem bucket yielded a little more and even though you know it's just seeded gems, you still can't help but get excited at what you might uncover. We found some neat stones and got hooked. Went back for the 5 gal. bucket and found some really nice large stones, an emerald, rubies, sapphire, aquamarine, amethysts and other assorted gems (see pics). This is a family owned and operated establishment Tony, Tammy Ray, Brianna and the rest of the staff were all pleasant and very helpful. Brianna was very helpful and patient and is finishing 3 stones for us from one amethyst that we got. I based which mine we were going to visit on positive reviews and I was definitely not disappointed. I can see why they get the reviews they do.

Had a really fun time here with our family. This was our "second choice" but after coming here couldn't be more pleased. We all had a good time with the panning. Takeaway - gold panning is hard, gems are easy (even got a Ruby). Great friendly staff and very clean.

We had an awesome experience here as a family! It is fun and educational at the same time! The people were super nice and we went home with some gold and gems!!

Best people on Earth work here. Loving, kind, sweet, helpful, good prices, good selection at gift shop, you can buy gold material by the bag, or pick up truck...shovel load....great prices....Tammy an owner bent over backwards to accommodate us in our every need. My wife and I have health issues.
I thank God for folks like Ms. Tammy her husband, and daughter..... This is a fantastic place to go....Daymond Chief Jones.... On YouTube

Disliked is unfair.  I get the idea of bringing kids and letting them sift sand. There was a group visiting today and they had a blast.

Me . .. not so much... Look , I know I'm not getting a large nugget or anything like that .  I'm the dude that ponied up 45 bucks for the entertainment part of it, but the reward was a few flakes for my bottle. 

Shame on me for not getting the 6 dollar deal I suppose.  The staff was super nice and helpful but I dont see the draw.  Take the little ones and let them mine for gems.
