Great local brewery with so many craft brews to choose from! The new place has a welcoming atmosphere, nicely lit, lots of seating, and spacious without feeling too big. The brick oven pizzas were a nice touch for having on the spot food while enjoy the tasty brews and mead. On our visit there were 16 beers yo choose from and a handful of mead options. Something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful. A really good time was had by all. We highly recommend visiting the Crooked Crab Brewing Company.
My hometown brewery, so I hold it close to my heart. I've enjoyed more than 50 different beers here according to Untappd at this point and I really enjoy tasting all the different varieties of beer they brew. I also have recently ordered a pizza there, and it was excellent Pep N Step. I'm glad they have expanded and opened up the pizza joint, but also will occasionally have food trucks on site for other food options. I'll add some photos of flights I've had in the past, and also the pizza. Keep on brewing the excellent beers Crooked Crab!
One of the best micro–breweries in Maryland. Usually 10–12 draft beers on tap. Very easy to get to just off Route 32 and plenty of parking. No restaurant available but you are allowed to bring your own food in or there is usually a rotating food truck outside. Inside, there is plenty of seating with 2 TVs. Clean bathrooms. Staff is very helpful and do provide ‘tasters’ if you are undecided on a beer you can never go wrong ‘I Fought The Claw’. Dog friendly not a big fan of this, especially for inside customers. My only negative is that they do not offer a daily military discount might be a good idea since Fort Meade is literally 4 miles away. Great beers still give this place a 5 star rating.
Great local brewing company. Friendly and clean atmosphere and it’s dog friendly which is always a plus! No I’m-house food but there always seems to be a food truck outside or you can bring your own outside food. Plenty of parking too. Recently had a chance to try their Double Cherry Cobbler Punchline. Canned and amazing! Grabbed a 4-pack for home, just sad that I only got 4. Definitely will be back and will be adding them to my short list of local breweries.
A little loud, but the ceiling is high so it is not oppressive. A great place to hang out with friends and family. They have coloring sheets and board games. The beer is great. Check out the food truck schedule on their website. Greek on the Go is todays truck. Yum!
Seems like a pretty decent atmosphere but honestly as a beer fan and brewer myself I expected more. Subpar beer and service. If you're coming from out of town like I did I wouldn't waste your time or money on this place. Great BBQ at the food truck though.
The beers were good but the service was not. We sat at the bar with 3 bartenders but waited with empty glasses multiple times while they stood in a group and joked with each other or even served the customer next to us only to walk away and not return. It would be good if they had food options other than just pizza. Also I saw a review saying it was dog friendly but just a heads up, there's a sign on the door saying that dogs are no longer allowed as of October.
Good beers with a friendly and inviting ambiance. Plenty of options and beer flights available. Well worth a visit! I definitely plan on returning and would recommend to friends/family. Update 10/15/22: They’ve expanded and added a kitchen, where they’re cranking out delicious pizzas! An absolute win!
“okay, here’s the plan…” dunno what they’re planning but it can’t be good. BUT the beer here is GREAT. LOVE the Tanooki Brewer 3x IPA and the Dank Farri 2x IPA. Both high ABV and on the hazy side but both remarkably smooth and tasty, without an over-powering citrus. plenty of open space, friendly atmosphere and long list of good beers. lack of a kitchen sucks but a food truck can take up the slack. Slightly off-the-beaten track so it’s not crowded. This will quickly become one of our favorites.
We've been going to the Crab since they opened. Today we were not going to miss the new or renew grand opening of their new taproom with the pizza kitchen. I ordered the Pep N' Step and it was flipping amazing. Beer and pizza ...... Perfect combo
