This "hotel" appears decent as you walk into the lobby decked out in modern attire, but once you spend a night in your room, you'll quickly notice the uncomfortable, small beds with mattresses that definitely need changing. There was a roofer doing work on Sunday at 8:30am. I was told by the front desk that the manager would have him stop his work, as they were getting dozens of phone calls regarding the issue; an hour later...no change. I called again, and this time the response was that they would extend the checkout time by an hour. That doesn't really do much when you can't sleep because of incessant banging and power tools grinding above you. I would say save yourself the trouble, spend an extra $25-50, and stay at the Sheraton. Your back and ability to get a good night's rest will thank you.

Not the greatest Crown Plaza. Needs a little TLC. You can tell they put a little money into the place, but just not enough. Room was clean and shower was hot. Remote for TV didn't work. Couldn't set the clock radio for wake up. Buttons broken. There was no coffee in the room. Found out in the morning that you must ask to have it in your room. ???? The pricey breakfast buffet is lacking. Not even as nice as most free breakfast at the low end chain hotels.

I can't say enough good things about the service, the food and the general good ambiance of this hotel. These guys have an amazing spirit of excellence in client service. From the porters to the front dest, to management, the fine ladies in the restaurant and housekeeping, this spirit of friendliness, comfort and the "you come first" attitude is constant. Love it here. Best in New Orleans.

Everything was very professional and the service great. I was also impressed with how modern the hotel is. Great place to visit.. loved my stay!

Crowne Plaza was a nice hotel. Gym was excellent. The hotel does appear to be an older hotel, but the staff and gym made the stay very pleasant
