I specialize in cruises and the destinations of Alaska and Hawaii. I also assist inbound travelers who seek the assistance of a local “expert”.

Story

It is with great pleasure that I look forward to working with you regarding your vacation needs. After 15 years as an educator in Illinois public schools, I decided to pursue my passion to help others see the world. My first cruise was aboard Royal Caribbean's Viking Serenade in December 1992. Since then, I have cruised 32 times and logged 219 nights aboard some of the most wonderful vessels at sea. I have cruised or personally inspected ships from the following cruise lines: A-Rosa Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Crociere, Cunard Line, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Travel Dynamics International, and Windstar Cruises.

I am recognized within the travel industry as a Certified Travel Associate (CTA) and within the cruise industry as an Elite Cruise Counsellor Scholar (ECCS) and Luxury Cruise Specialist (LCS). I have earned the Alaska, Hawaii, and North America Destination Specialist (DS) and the Accessible Travel Lifestyle Specialist (LS) designations from the Travel Institute. I am also recognized as an Alaska Certified Expert (ACE) with the Alaska Travel Industry Association, an Anchorage Wild Expert (AWE) with the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau, and a Vancouver Specialist with Tourism Vancouver. With respect to Hawaii, I am a graduate of Ke Kula O Hawaii (The School of Hawaii), and a certified Master Specialist for the islands of Oahu and Big Island.

Mission

Not all vacations and vacation specialists are created equally. Advice, service, and understanding your needs are probably the most important components of any booking. After all, your trip can represent a significant capital purchase. It may be unwise to trust the planning of your long awaited vacation and limited vacation time with the "lowest bidder." Others may cut corners and not invest the time necessary to discover your likes and dislikes in a vacation, or in understanding the differences between products. I take the time to determine your needs and match you with the product that represents the best value for your vacation dollar.
