Wish I checked them out further. I met some of their staff at a charity event last fall. Even when I decided to give them a call, I set my expectations that I would be able to discuss and strategize for 2016 taxes making it clear I was looking for a long term relationship. They were very quick to set an appointment, much quicker than I ever expected, but the experience from that point forward - unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled, arrived early and waited. About 10 minutes later (and at my appointment time) some other couple popped in and was escorted to the CPA before me. My time was not valued. When I was in with the CPA, he spent the entire time taking calls and being distracted . My take was that it was apparent I was not valued as a new client. I was not made to feel welcome as a new client, but rather like I was an inconvenience sitting across the desk interrupting his busy day. Not professional. When it came to discussing the tax returns, I had to fight him to deduct Student Loan interest. He wasn't interested (and refused to report) some freelance earned income claiming it was inappropriate without a W2 - my records/accounting not good enough. He claimed standard deductions and would not even look at itemized expenses - especially medical because 2015 was a "jump" in medical expenses. No explanations, no education, again when I asked a question - he avoided them with other calls, tasks, etc. Just not impressed. I ran the numbers myself and think I could have received close to $1000 more back from the State/Federal combined if I had done it myself. I was expecting counseling for structure as I move into a new career phase and look for that long term relationship as promised and they failed to deliver all the way around. I think that his refusal to look at my investment documents and expense documents without explanation and is if I was asking "too much" was the biggest turn off. Long story short, I didn't look at the filing until 2 days later because of my work schedule. I noticed they never added my Unit# to my address which I had mentioned to the CPA more than once when he asked me to review. When I called today to report the mistake, they were uninterested in fixing it and would not advise how to fix their mistake. I asked for a call back from the CPA and no response.

After reading the mailing I chise to give them a try.. I could go into the details on the promise but it's pointless they only did one thing.. I met Mr Greco in a sublet office on rte 4.. I should have known better but I spoke with him for about an hour where he told me about the family business and they are a full service shop.. Despite my doubts I did give them a try. That's when it went into the void. I ended up chasing them for answers with little followup although they did file my return on time it was no better if not worse than H&R Block..for $600. Here is the bottom line... they throw out fliers telling you they know everything and imply they will save you money.. it's all just a way for you to give them your prior year return (ransome) and sub out your return to low level cpa's or administration team, bill you heavy and collect on the margin. I think I'm more mad at myself and not trusting my gut and running out the door.

Staff is amazing, helpful and generous with their time. Knowledgeable on all aspects of my financial needs. Highly recommend CSI Group!

Awful experience with them. Outrageously expensive, professionally negligent, and extremely poor customer service. Avoid at all costs.
