Today I went to try for the very first time the food at Culture Social Bar. Everything would have been great if it wasn't for 3 things. First of all we ordered: an order of 3 empanadas, we wanted two empanadas of chorizo and one of Rajas con elotes, one order of 3 crawfish empanadas and Bao buns. What the waiter brought us was two orders of Chorizo empanadas 6 empanadas,an order of Rajas empanadas 3, the order of crawfish empanadas 3 and the buns. We ended up from the 6 empanadas we ordered with 12 empanadas! When we told the waiter that we didn't ordered that many empanadas his answer was that we had to order the empanadas the same flavor, they couldn't be mixed. Thats why he had brought us that many orders and apologized for the misunderstanding but we still had to paid for them. Ok, we decided to go ahead and not let this ruin our dinner. Second : when we started eating the Chorizo empanadas they were overcooked. I attached some pictures. The pastry looks brown and tasted burned. The only empanadas that weren't overcooked were the rajas con elotitos were delicious too and 2 out of 3 of the crawfish were sort of ok to eat. Again we tried talking to the waiter to let him know about the issue. He said that the only thing he could do was to talk to the kitchen and I want to imagine he did. Third, we ended up paying over 100 usd for food we didn't order, didn't enjoy, and all in all a bad experience. I took the left over burned empanadas and will offer them to my son, let's see if he wants them. In conclusion, bad service, they didn't care to keep their customers happy. If you order the empanadas make sure to ask them not to overcook them, the rajas were the best, crawfish were ok and the buns were just awful and I love Bao buns. I won't be coming back.
Really bad service. My friend got Overcharged for some drinks and shots she clearly didn’t order. Instead of the waiter keeping up of who order what from the people around us. He just decided to charged it all on her tab. Over 200! Plus his tip. Ridiculous. Never again coming to this place!
It was poppin on a Saturday night. Sat outside and they had heat lamps everywhere. The complimentary chips and salads were excellent. Cocktails were delicious and the food too. Great service. Will come back again. Great spot for a date night!
I attended this place last Saturday where I had paid for a bottle, sure enough my bottle was charged but never was I told or made aware of that it was an open tab. NEVER did I give consent for them to over charge drinks that I DID NOT REQUEST! Therefore, I was charged $150 extra when everything else was paid on my friends behalf and was paid for in cash! Therefore, the moment I noticed an un consented charge in my account I spoke to Ricky “the manager” and he specified for me to wait until it was successfully processed. Presently, it was and I called back and unfortunately NOTHING was done to even have a bit of sympathy to say PROFESSIONALLY that they would find a way to fix it or go back to see the history of what happened the night of… nor did they offer me credit to their restaurant or menu, etc.. HORRIBLE place to attend!
This deserves zero stars. First time in this establishment and i received the worst experience. they overcharged me and i was hopeful that it will be fixed…they even told me to come back to resolve the problem because my charge was still pending and the owner would help me out and i comeback ….they did nothing. but, thank you to the two mangers who tried to help though since the owner couldn’t. 0-10 do not recommend. DO BETTER.
Food was delicious, i would recommend to friends to go there for brunch! The service was impeccable. The patio is pet friendly
Loved the food. We got the ceviche and lemon pepper wings. 2 shots of Don julio 1942 and the akaushi burger. Nice scenery.
Poor service. The waiter let us order three orders of the empanadas. Didn't explain that you are not allowed to mix and match. Then when the order came I said, "why so many empanadas? " And blamed me for not understanding that you can't mix and match the kinds. So, I got stuck with an eighty dollar bill for extra food I didn't intend to order, which wouldn't have been as bad if the empanadas weren't over cooked. But they were. Then when he cleared our dishes he just walked away and didn't bring the bill for several minutes. I hade to ask another waitress for the bill. And they were not busy at all
Service was excellent. Music and atmosphere were great! Drinks were the best!
Culture Social Club is such a great place for a smaller city. Moving back from a big city, Laredo doesn’t have many places that you can grab a nice bite to eat, and a nice cocktail that’s not just beer. I’m surprised by their menu variety and their amazing selection. I love Culture and I will continue to go back and take all my friends who visit from out of town. Amazing place!!
