Wow!!!! My daughter and I went to this restaurant today. The food was amazing. I have eaten this kind of cuisine many times, many styles and Curry Sultan is awesome!! When we arrived, it was in the afternoon during an "off" time, but they still served us. The owner Russell was full of kindness energy. We were the only ones in the restaurant and Russell took care of us personally with much respect and kindness. He made great suggestions to us as we both eat differently. One of us is a vegan and the other not. Russell totally accommodated our eating styles as he was very sensitive to our needs and wants. The different foods we ordered were individually packed and then each dish separately covered in saran wrap. This order was "to go", but since Russell was conversing with us, we decided to eat in. He made our dining experience fun. See pics! Yay for this small business!! Go and order some Curry Sultan!!!
Great food! Compliments to the chef! That kid’s got a future in cooking! Great service on the dining room floor. If I lived here I’d be a regular! I was blown away with the quality of the food! Give them a try!
I got take-out for the first time and the store owner was incredibly friendly! The place was run all by himself but he was able to get the food out in a timely manner. Tastes amazing by the way!
As much as I hate doing this but I have to be honest , it's been the second time that I've been in this restaurant trying to see if it's going any better but I was disappointed 1 more time food has nothing to do with the authentic Indian food that I've ate anywhere in the world, beside being pricey which I understand since price are going up be careful prices online don't match his prices on menu I took a chicken biryani which was super watery and bland left it there . Owner makes you pay before serving you the food which doesn't let you the choice but to tip beforehand . Please please run for your life if you don't wanna be disappointed as I was today and last trip. Ps. this is for the owner: please hire a real chef who knows what he is doing. Maybe instead of being here arguing with customers who are just giving you a honest feedback for your own improvement, you should spend the time working on your craft or hiring a proper chef. You saying I finished the samosa and butter chicken is false, i took the rest home for other people to try to show how awful it was.
I am just here traveling for work and decided to stop in and try this locally owned restaurant out since it was next to my hotel. The food and service was GREAT and priced very reasonably. The owner who is also a veteran, was very nice and you can tell he really cared about not only his business but his customers as well. If you are in the area I would recommend giving this place a try.
I get that prices are going up, but this is ridiculous. The quality of the curry is good, the quantity is sad, and service is terrible. Let's start with the drinks- if you order water, you are paying for bottled water. If you order an iced tea for $3.25 each, it has no refills. The taste is metallic like they have a problem with their plumbing. After a long wait, and no waitress to be found. You get your $14-$18 per entree in disposable containers. Basmati rice is served in a small container, which we were told was 2 servings. We asked for a substitute for coconut rice, which the server stated was $1 extra, but ended up being $7. We got naan, which we have gotten in the past, only to be disappointed by it. The owner brought it to our table burnt on both sides and blamed the cook. He offered no replacement nor apologies and promptly left. $95 Lesson learned- no matter how good the curry is... It's a small overpriced serving, with bad service practices and low customer satisfaction. Never again. Find another place to eat.
Y’all. You have GOT to try this restaurant, but only if you love handmade food, fresh beautiful flavors, and an immaculately clean establishment. I highly highly recommend Curry Sultan. We’ve tried the Bhel Puri, dal, and chicken biryani pictured here, the butter chicken, aloo muttar, chicken vindaloo, garlic naan, aloo paratha, and veggie samosas. The imported beer selection is super interesting and delicious, the chai is piping hot and spicy, and the homemade from scratch lemonade served with fresh mint is absolutely delightful. The owner is delightful and welcoming, and the restaurant is a gem. Must try!
This was my first time trying Indian food and it was a big let down. When I got to the restaurant the door was locked even though it said Open, had to call the owner who came to the store then opened the door. I told the owner I was new to Indian food and before I could ask questions about the menu he said “just get the butter chicken, everyone loves the butter chicken”. So I ordered it and some naan. It was VERY under seasoned, the rice i have have basmati rice before was kind of a weird texture also. The naan just wasn’t right, kinda like he was just rushing to make up for how long it took him to get to the restaurant. Idk it just wasn’t a good experience in my opinion. Wow the owner is upset that I gave my honest opinion about his restaurant…. If you want people to make up good reviews just pay them instead of asking your customers to leave one. ‍ I wish I would’ve read the reviews before going here because I never would’ve.
1st time. Seems very good. 2nd time... FOODS FANTASTIC! Dish names in no particular order: Biryani rice, vegetable samosas, vegetable pakora, Palak Chaat. P.s the Watermelon juice is as refreshing as they come
It smelled AMAZING when we walked in, it was our first time trying Indian food, we went with the butter chicken and the cheesy naan. Everything tasted amazing. The butter chicken was piping hot and spicy.. the vegetable samosas were super yummy! We both got smoothies too which was really refreshing! Highly recommend this place to people who have never tried this kind of cuisine. Beware of the spice!
